Been over a year since I played last, but with Elemental Evil, I was thinking of jumping back in. However, I have a heck of a time playing using the standard mouse and keyboard. I've never liked them, never been able to use them well. I would love to use a 360 controller to play instead. I know early on, there was talk that this would be implemented. And now with the Xbox version of the game released, I was kinda hoping it would have support for the controller on the PC version as well, but... I can't find anything in the options.
Is this an abandoned feature, and if so, why? I realize that porting for a console is a big deal and can involve heavy changes to the code, but still, I can't imagine that it would be THAT difficult. (And really, I'm looking for built in support rather than messing around with 3rd party support programs like Xpadder here.)
I really want to connect my xbox controller to my pc to play Neverwinter, I'm afraid I don't have a screen besides the one attached to my laptop and I cannot use the console therefore.

After playing Neverwinter on the X1, it is sooooo much better with a controller. So I am hoping that this becomes reality very quickly. I am hesitant to jump back onto PC now because I have been spoilt with a controller, and I really do not want to use a 3rd party app to get this going.
you can play with a 360 controller, you simply need to download XPADDER. I recall a few videos on youtube, it is quite simple. I'll come back to check tomorrow if you all need help. Game plays beautifully with it, i can tell you that much.
