Guild Creation Creates No Guild Tabs?

I was wondering why we would want a guild before we have a stockpile of Astrals? My buddies and I started a guild on the XB1, and were shocked to find the first tab not unlocked and costed us 150k Astral Diamonds. None of us have more than 100k or so, and will be not reaping guild benefits for awhile it seems. None of us are level 60 yet, as our highest is 39.
