Binding button actions to keys

Can't find it now but yesterday someone mentioned binding the "change character" button to a key press to speed up invoking with alts. Does anyone know how to do that?

    It's "/bind x gotocharacterselect" where x is whatever key you want to use. I used to bind it to ] on my american keyboards, but now I use æ
