Lesser scrolls of identification identifying higher level items

Lesser scrolls of identification which should only be able to identify items up to level 29 continue to be able to identify higher level items. My paladin is only level 33 atm but so far lessers can identify everything I've picked up.

Edit: level 43 now. Found a level 61 and level 63 item both were able to be identified by scrolls of identification which should only be able to identify items up to level 59.
