How to duplaicate own NPC/Mob project?

I've made a nice humanoid enemy. Then I wanted to duplcate it to change some minior features like clothes, skin collour etc., and make a variation of it.
I didn't find any way to do it!!

So for having a few variations of my enemies do I have to make each one from the begining??
What if I've forgotten all the precise changes I made to acheive the effect?
Please help.

Right click on the creature (in Detail Mode) and select Customize Costume.
Rename it to something and then in other creatures choose that costume.
