I don't know what you're talking about. I've killed a few mobs in WoD yesterday, out of curiosity, with some lvl 60 gear, and my char is far from being BiS, because I have two. :) It's what used to be a 17k DC. I've been there, killed a group with a rage drake, another one with one of those archers, and called it a day.

I agree partly with this. I took out some mobs of Drake Handers and adds in WoD yesterday with lvl60 HR Trapper GS15K and no vorpal (no weapon chant at all); lvl 60 T2 gear. I'll admit it was fun and exhilarating. I learned to dodge again. But after months of cake walk it was hard work; and I suspect that was one of the few quests in WoD I would be able to complete now.

But I keep wondering: "Why do I need to gain 10 more levels and get all new gear to be able to go back and do what I was already doing?". I'm starting to believe those who say it's all about selling new gear. Where's that tin-foil hat? I'm sure I left it somewhere around here...

I saw plenty of people in IWD. Plenty of bodies as well. Even saved one guy from 2 giants.

I'm really sick of people pretending like dread ring and sharandar are only meant for level 70 bis players. They said here that "The endgame campaigns have been adjusted to bolster players’ combat effectiveness to ensure the content can be played by anyone of level 60 or higher.", also "These campaigns should now provide additional leveling content for post-level 60 progression."
Besides that, even level 70 content shouldn't have level 73 enemies, when enemies that are 2 levels higher than the player are now supposed to be the limit of what you can beat. By that definition alone this content is unbeatable.
This is not about facerolling, this is about trying to beat level appropriate content and failing so many times that people ragequit in frustration. It's not "challenging" if enemies just get a 5000% health boost and deal five times damage now.

Yup its a combination of confusion, miscommunication, lack of communication, and back-azzward content roll-out compared to other modules. I still don't know if level bolstering versus lvl 70 critters is WAI, only WAI in some zones and not others, or just a simple bug.

Apparently, they just removed all entry restrictions to every area and thought we should figure it out on our own. Gotta give those community WIKI folks something to do.

Because they had to reboot the game and find a way to handle power creep in a much more elegant manner. This isn't a conspiracy.

Having had some time to digest I've realised the problem:
Previously mods were added and we typically got a new area with slightly harder enemies and quests and some new rewards. We were free to attempt the new stuff, and if it was too hard we could go back to the stuff were were already doing and gear up a bit, get a few more boons, whatever.

Mod 6 turns that on its head. The stuff we were already doing is suddenly way too hard so we are forced to play the new mod, even if we were not ready for it. Presumably when we've done with that we'll be strong enough to go back to the previous mod area and continue our boon progress. It's kinda backwards to how it should be.

    Still, the tree *is* nice.

Yep! Probably need to hit level 70 with comparable gear to survive in IWD at least. Not sure about Shar and DR as I have not tried them. But that "flooded" shores (or whatever it is called) is definitely not hard at all to solo (for the true solo quests).

My 15.5k GWF is plowing through the "new" content with even more ease than he did with WoD, etc., a few days ago. That, to me, makes it all so very pointless.

And they could have easily done that with by scaling monsters to player levels, instead of cutting everyone off at the knees with the existing content... as they said they were going to do in one of the patch notes (I don't have time to go look for it).

I agree, it SUCKS that I cannot go do what I was doing Monday (grinding through old mods) ... and Play the new Mod ? Heh, I am back in Whispering Caverns doing lvl 59 quests ...

Why would you prefer to do lvl 59 quests over the new mod? Especially since finishing the new content gives you the lvl 70 MH and OH for free.

Well of Dragons - 5 instances. Explored two of them. Mostly folk standing around a bit bewildered. Heralds arrived. No-one attacked them.

Went back to PE and looked at the tree. Nice tree.

    welcome to mod6, enjoy!

Because we're all busy levelling to 70. Now campaigns also requires gear from dungeons. As it should. It's now:

Levelling to 70 > T1 dungeons > daily quests. Campaigns aren't a convenient way to skip half of the content anymore. The original purpose was keeping people busy while waiting for another module, not being a loot pinata for fresh max lvl characters.
it isn't going to be any better once everyone is 70. places like IWD and WOD are going to be ghost towns. epic dungeons are going to be ghost towns. I tried to warn them. many people tried to warn them.

Because it's overcrowded, broken for groups, and repeating 16 quests over and over and over isn't as exciting as going back and doing the lvl 59 quests I skipped because I was lvl 60 already. Sorry but breaking my ability to solo the other 4 mods wasn't my idea. But now I have to figure out how to fill my game time, and WC is working nicely.

Laughing so hard at how easily the "so" called people in charge are so far wide of the mark, watch out for a million different sales over the horizon to try and bolster the player base.

    Mod 666 more like ;)

yep, and it's not even like it needs to be "tweaked" or adjusted slightly. it's SO far off the mark it's not funny. they obviously did no playtesting on this module, not with normal non-buffed chars, and apparently(?) ignored all the player feedback from preview.

After reducing the mob HP the new zones are a breeze.

Because the "new" mod is so painfully boring that I actually scrubbed my flush yesterday instead of playing.

Great. They were a breeze before the patch. Now, even more boring.

It's actually hit points and damage resistance. But yeah, ~1s fights again. Boring.

So they reduce HP in the new zones which were already so easy most heroics were soloable, but left the stuff like the Tyranny dailies alone?

Loving the tree. I went to the new quests to do them did the 4 seeds. started drowned shore. saw that its ~2.5k xp per quest and ~130k for 60-61. Thats like 45-55 quests for one level including mob xp, instead of 6-7. Promptly went back to protectors enclave and tried to climb up the tree. I can get pretty far now. can we have more trees too climb?
People are way too negative, Why cant we just all get along.

the rest of those instances you said were bots.
    .

Thats it! The whole mod was to curb the bots. They'll be too squishy to farm content. Forever stuck in drowning shore collecting rank 5's. Can't say I'll miss that **** companion sound effect in Sharandar "I hope your next wound is unique" over and over and over, blarg.

    /Nice tree

lets be serious that probably wont happen lol, There's been stuff in the game since beta that hasnt been "fixed"

I'd much rather actual gameplay affecting bugs be fixed over stuff like that
