I played in preview server and only one thing I like in this mod 6 for SW is new encounter. Arm of hadars.
All other stuffs is are good as nothing.
Hadar gaps = its suppose to be like CW's entangling force, but hell casting time is same or even little bit longer than Harrowstorm.. And if I cast this on cursed target it last longer.. Ghem. yea right... U know when I use Harrowstorm I get far greater dps + I lift in air mob or other player so high that when he get down and stand up that time length is same as Hadar gaps..
So its just slow motion CW's entangling force. For pvp I rather stay with Harrowstorm instead using this nonsense.

TT is really poor compared to mod 5, hadar gasp is not really game breaking imo, not much use for it in PVP .. but as lots of ppl wrote and worried about --> is see CW leveling dealing really funny aoe to mob groups from my sight, really balanced ... even PVE wise its crappy, hope for the big patch (that surely won´t change a lot)

But you should admit, that "Arm of hadar's" effect was needed. I mean encounter with such effect. Wraith of shadow didn't work at all, and actually never seen that any SW would use it for pve or pvp. Because unmove effect last only ~1s. And u need cast in order CURSE>Wraith of shadow then use encounter again to make it aoe CC effect. To long formalities for 1s cc effect..

Yes but what's the use of it if you can barely land it? It's like you will have to Hadar Grasp > Harrow Storm > Shadow slip to you target (losing big piece of your staminda) and then arms of hadar. And hope you're fast enough.

I will go with my encounter set as I where in preview shard...
Arms of hadar, DT and killing flame. for pve.
warlock bargain. DT + killing flame for boss
Harrowstorm + killing flame + WB for pvp.
Hadar gaps I will not use, and I am actually personally against that encounter. Its CW's entangling force copy and also way too slow when come casting. And not good in any stufs, neither pvp or pve. Warlock bargains actually is far greater stuff for pvp than this one..
Also the new stuffs for warlocks only prove that developers more less careless about new stuffs, they didn't play neither tested this stuff in action, just added and thats it..
And worst thing, developers putting to much stuff on curse mechanic. And this is biggest flaw for this class.. I actually get bored all time hitting TAB key because all encounters(excluding KF) consume curse..

Those seem to be my fans Appeared after that big CW's rebellion in preview section, after I started cursing badly because some CWs there have intelligence of a rodent. Just go read all the ridiculous stuff that happened there, not saying there were not good posts from CW players protecting their class there, some had good points but the rest...best images of a CW players of neverwinter I shaped in my mind.
And remember people by their handles/names rather than avatars on these forums, there seem to be many trolls nowdays.

Nah, I don't think that's viable combo, too many IFs there is. I am just glad I don't need to use WS to help my team take down faitful DC now, plus some CWs tend to have grandma's reflexes (not generalizing) so I often manage to entaggle force them before they do. Yes with warlock there are a lot of IF. Amrs of hadar gives prone effect. Well if it lands and will not get deflected/ressisted.
Thats why I try keep KF in set because for his pure dps.
And yea CW's have kinda bad reflexes, they relay on fast encounters and nonstop CC. But still u can't go head 2 head with CW in open zone, because once u start casting hadar graps or hallowstorm u get lifted in air with CW's entangling force because CW cast far faster than SW do.

ohh u can make funny thing with arms of hadar. For example, start casting it, and once ARM apear use shift to cancel casting and recast arms of hadar again. then keep going and u get like many arms slapping ground. In preview server i manage to confuse one player by that, He simply where confused which of arms have real dmg and CC effect and which ones are due lag/animation glitch.
I hoped that this hadar arms animation would be changed before it goes live....
I would like to see other animation. Like. You summon blades/arms up from the ground damaging the enemy and make them prone.
p.s I am wondering why dev try hard to create what is already developed.. There are mobs warlocks which have curses/spells which can be ussed for SW.. Only would need slight adjustments and balancing of damage and how long CC should last..

Hands of Hader the CW control knockoff is decent for pvp. Just decent.
Arms of Hader in my opinion is a total waste junk encounter. Just really do not like it in any way. Slow cast time, feels very klunky, damage is mediocre at best. Fire not necro damage, and don't care for the animation artistically either. A faint shadow of a good AoE spell.
We will see on 4/23 if devs care to make SW viable for pvp when they release the first large balancing patch.
I've been posting like crazy all the time for months about mod 6, testing, posting, giving feedback.
I'm also the guy responsible for starting that CW rebellion. I clearly proved a CW outdps the SW by far in every aspect (single and multi targets) with ACT logs to boot.
None of this was answered to. Warlocks were nerfed, damnation still doesn't work, temptation is nerfed and the 30% of LS on aoe is ******ed, no synergy with life steal severity, and fury capstone is nerfed. (The TT nerf made sense, the rest did not, and no improvements to the quality of life of using TT was made either, you still waste 1/4 of the animation cursing targets because the animation is so slow and there's no tab targetting method.)

This is what happens when you ruin my class. Is class balance really that hard? Did you not notice something was wrong when you used your daily power as a paladin and did the INTRO quest and you ONE SHOT the boss? Really? no? nobody thought something was wrong? 'Paladin the class that has no DPS ! ....But it's powers are so OP you'll die in one hit anyways!...
I used to pay for this game, before my class was ruined unrightfully and we got absolutely no answer to anything we reported on the forums. If 'We're looking on it' or 'We won't have time to look at it until the patch after mod 6' was too long to write or too much effort then inputting my credit card sounds too hard too, don't mind me.

Have you respec'd again Kolat. I'm thinking you are right, since the Templock path is completely useless now, with the LS nerf.
If by respec'd you mean stayed basically the same, but a ding in new Feats/Powers, then yes! :cool:
For a while, on the Test Shard, I was a Soulbinder. I didn't end up liking the Soul Spark mechanic, too slow IMO. So I went back to Hellbringer Fury and have rocked it ever since.
Leveled to 70... Used a lot of potions, a few injury kits, but my Young Yeti did his job well most of the time!

SB Fury is also ok, more defence, more selfheal more single target damage, its not that good as mod 5 but i did contest against full legendary CW (same level) in level zone against the giant HAMSTER (wearing black Ice armor, no AD bonus !)
its not the CW who got all the care from the HAMSTER, its not the maxed GWF, no its the crappy SB-fury (16,7GS) WL (who got killed after 80% of the fight), but focussed all time by the HAMSTER.
WB-KF-SS is real heavy damage, if you want to bash the trash go hellbringer
soulspark mechanic works right ok -->if you use essencedefiler every single moment your encounter is on cd
they nerf us all because they tired of hearing people complain that I can solo face tank the scorpions without even moving lol

Usually in mmorpg games, you should expect that new class in time get nerfed. But how they did with SW it's simply impossible understand. Sw where not OverPowered. Maybe it where with patch they added this class to game, but by time they adjusted this class that would match other classes.

If Crytics lack of ideas and need assist I can write all scenario for SW, thats include some encounters modification and more less trees rebuilding by keeping same ideas, Furry DPs, TEmplock healer and damion(can't remmeber) as summoner.. For me it would take only ~1hour to do so..

that statement is only true in long dungeons with many groups of HAMSTER mobs.
I was consistently destroying 20-25k CW's in Epic Lostmouth, and the very tip top of the CW's getting at least in my neighborhood of DPS.
And that is achieved by using Bargain, Dreadtheft and Killign Flames, at about 18.5k GS.
Yesterday I had a convo with Panderus ingame (he's a DEV incase you didn't know), I told him how our shift ability sucks together with the fact that every skill is long cast compared to other classes.
I also mentioned that TT daily + AD set was the only way to stay relevant....
BUT
he saw nothing wrong with SW and what I said, he asked me if I was lvl 70 as if that will change anything and told me everyone will have hard time with new content. How am I supposed to explain to him that SW is just a small DOT class now.
Panderus mains a CW and is obviously locked on in his tunnel vision in that particular direction - no wonder he does not see any problems with a class that might be a competition to his beloved CW. We've been dominant in single target dps for whole 2 mods, that's probably outrageous and we'll prolly gonna stay irrelevant for next 4-5 mods.

Actually I can't find even small peace of logic in way how games goes; Its like box where you drop new stuffs without thinking how balance them to make it fit correct.
Game have enough of developed stuffs, but dev simply can't see them as material and use for new stuffs. For example use tiamat temple mechanics to make like Guild boss raiding.
Well so be it.. See you guys in mod 8 or mod 28 when SW get back to life.. Till that I rather spent time and some cash in game where are things to do, and there are some logic in how games expand and changes..

It almost hurts to read this because I played SW and loved it for some months. In pvp there is no SW chain CC that is at all effective, and the class gets kills when it can target something that someone else is fighting or a lagged out or afk opponent. Seriously. I almost hate playing against SWs in pvp because I see someone trying their heart out who is better geared than me and after they stick me to the ground for a second or entangle-er--"hadar??" me, maybe flop me around with harrowstorm, I just bullrush> lungingstrike>anvil them and dead.
I really hope the lobbying from this class community has some effect and the devs choose to buff it a little the way they have other underperforming classes.
did anyone made his choice with new PVP set? and what will be the setbonus? anyone knowing?
1. less crit, low arp but a bit lifesteal
2. crit+ arp but zero lifesteal?
in case of tenecity is reduces arp and crit a lot should i take the one with life steal and push power?
but... in case of beeing oneshottet or dazed and stunned to death, what will it be worth having livesteal that can not do his job-steal life? Since TR is perma invisible atm --> no target, no lifesteal, no sparks, no damage no.... thank you very much btw cräptic

The answer here is toi stay away from PvP unless you have a proper plan.
SOunds to me like most people do not have a plan.
So don't PvP, instead write complaint letters every day, go into every other classes rooms and complain and post broken abilities. do to them what they did to us......

I'm also the guy responsible for starting that CW rebellion. I clearly proved a CW outdps the SW by far in every aspect (single and multi targets) with ACT logs to boot.
None of this was answered to. Warlocks were nerfed, damnation still doesn't work, temptation is nerfed and the 30% of LS on aoe is ******ed, no synergy with life steal severity, and fury capstone is nerfed. (The TT nerf made sense, the rest did not, and no improvements to the quality of life of using TT was made either, you still waste 1/4 of the animation cursing targets because the animation is so slow and there's no tab targetting method.)
I dont know what to play anymore, all 3 trees suck, someone halp plz? The quetion is 'Which one sucks the least?' you know there's a problem.
This is what happens when you ruin my class. Is class balance really that hard? Did you not notice something was wrong when you used your daily power as a paladin and did the INTRO quest and you ONE SHOT the boss? Really? no? nobody thought something was wrong? 'Paladin the class that has no DPS ! ....But it's powers are so OP you'll die in one hit anyways!...
I used to pay for this game, before my class was ruined unrightfully and we got absolutely no answer to anything we reported on the forums. If 'We're looking on it' or 'We won't have time to look at it until the patch after mod 6' was too long to write or too much effort then inputting my credit card sounds too hard too, don't mind me.
Yes this is a rant, it happens when u put in effort and get nothing back.

Have you respec'd again Kolat. I'm thinking you are right, since the Templock path is completely useless now, with the LS nerf.
For a while, on the Test Shard, I was a Soulbinder. I didn't end up liking the Soul Spark mechanic, too slow IMO. So I went back to Hellbringer Fury and have rocked it ever since.
Leveled to 70... Used a lot of potions, a few injury kits, but my Young Yeti did his job well most of the time!
SB Fury is also ok, more defence, more selfheal more single target damage, its not that good as mod 5 but i did contest against full legendary CW (same level) in level zone against the giant HAMSTER (wearing black Ice armor, no AD bonus !)
its not the CW who got all the care from the HAMSTER, its not the maxed GWF, no its the crappy SB-fury (16,7GS) WL (who got killed after 80% of the fight), but focussed all time by the HAMSTER.
WB-KF-SS is real heavy damage, if you want to bash the trash go hellbringer
soulspark mechanic works right ok -->if you use essencedefiler every single moment your encounter is on cd

Usually in mmorpg games, you should expect that new class in time get nerfed. But how they did with SW it's simply impossible understand. Sw where not OverPowered. Maybe it where with patch they added this class to game, but by time they adjusted this class that would match other classes.
Personally I don't get what role SW have in party.
Dps as furry Warlock, yea sure, by theory and when you look to feats its omg dmg dealer. But CW's doing better dps + CC.
As Temptation it more less healer, now its not. With mod 6 simply killed temptation as party healer. No point run it anymore
And one tree which suppose to be summoner or what the hell. Actually never seen in action.
If Crytics lack of ideas and need assist I can write all scenario for SW, thats include some encounters modification and more less trees rebuilding by keeping same ideas, Furry DPs, TEmplock healer and damion(can't remmeber) as summoner.. For me it would take only ~1hour to do so..

that statement is only true in long dungeons with many groups of HAMSTER mobs.
I was consistently destroying 20-25k CW's in Epic Lostmouth, and the very tip top of the CW's getting at least in my neighborhood of DPS.
And that is achieved by using Bargain, Dreadtheft and Killign Flames, at about 18.5k GS.
I also mentioned that TT daily + AD set was the only way to stay relevant....
BUT
he saw nothing wrong with SW and what I said, he asked me if I was lvl 70 as if that will change anything and told me everyone will have hard time with new content. How am I supposed to explain to him that SW is just a small DOT class now.
Panderus mains a CW and is obviously locked on in his tunnel vision in that particular direction - no wonder he does not see any problems with a class that might be a competition to his beloved CW. We've been dominant in single target dps for whole 2 mods, that's probably outrageous and we'll prolly gonna stay irrelevant for next 4-5 mods.

Actually I can't find even small peace of logic in way how games goes; Its like box where you drop new stuffs without thinking how balance them to make it fit correct.
Game have enough of developed stuffs, but dev simply can't see them as material and use for new stuffs. For example use tiamat temple mechanics to make like Guild boss raiding.
Well so be it.. See you guys in mod 8 or mod 28 when SW get back to life.. Till that I rather spent time and some cash in game where are things to do, and there are some logic in how games expand and changes..

I really hope the lobbying from this class community has some effect and the devs choose to buff it a little the way they have other underperforming classes.
1. less crit, low arp but a bit lifesteal
2. crit+ arp but zero lifesteal?
in case of tenecity is reduces arp and crit a lot should i take the one with life steal and push power?
but... in case of beeing oneshottet or dazed and stunned to death, what will it be worth having livesteal that can not do his job-steal life? Since TR is perma invisible atm --> no target, no lifesteal, no sparks, no damage no.... thank you very much btw cräptic

SOunds to me like most people do not have a plan.
So don't PvP, instead write complaint letters every day, go into every other classes rooms and complain and post broken abilities. do to them what they did to us......
