I have been looking at the preview shard and most people know how BiS PvP players play in the game.
The issue I currently have right now is that how the hell are people supposed to have the runspeed bonus or extrastealth or determination or divinity, etc.
What the devs could do which would seem like a nice idea. The concept of having a 4 set bonus would make a LOT of Sense would be to not give us the 2 set bonus but rather give us a 4 set bonus like the ones we currently have.
Example: The Elemental Black Ice gear could a 4 piece bonus out of all the 8 pieces which is similar to what the devs were getting on the Drow gear but it even included the 2 set bonus.
I mean since you have upscaled the Difficulty to the point where the Purified gear which is more defensive serves no purpose in terms of survival because one of it's stats is Regeneration. And the corrupted gear which is more offensive give us Lifesteal.
My point is that give us the 4 set bonuses as it would help make people play better. Since as an HR we have a difficult time in terms of chase if we dont have the set bonus. People would argue that you have that annoying skill "Marauder's Rush". To be honest that skill is very unresponsive. You can use it and while in animation if you are struck or dazed. The effect still connects with you.
Also without such bonuses people can end up choosing tactical deployment or the 250 (or whatever the scale for the 1st PvP boon is) to get the speed they need because most would argue for Lifesteal to be more important.
There are current speculations that Lifesteal is also capped at 15% concerning ACT logs which I dont have but the testing is done by some close friends.
TRs cannot possibly survive as Whisper Knife without the Stealth, they cant even use an at-will if they try to go saboteur just to have a Permastealth Style. I know many are against it but be realistic here. Isn't the 2 second visibility enough? The CWs can hit you with Icy Rays and its pretty much Game over. Master infiltrator well play in a different way where they come and go in and out of stealth. If you dont give it to the TRs then they cant possibly play stealth. Everyone would either go Executioner (offensive but die in a few moments) or Scoundrel (defensive and annoying to kill). This would limit players to play on 2 trees out of the 3 given. It's like even with these changes you are forcing the players to make a choice amongst 2 of the 3 paths only by making 1 path completely useless.
The same case can be seen for HRs. The archery spec which will become more viable would end up completely making the Combat spec Useless. Players would be forced to chose between Archery and Trapper and we all know hows that gonna end up. Dont give players 3 trees if you want them to play only 1 or 2 of them. If you are giving them 3 then give them a reason to use them. Think in terms of ALL Trees before making mod changes.
The 4 set bonuses helped us play our Unique styles. If the devs don't consider this then it would create a Problem. Since a Trapper HR with roots still dies to the GWFs because they can sprint to you. That runspeed would help you survive maybe 20-30 seconds sometimes maybe with the proper dodges even further. It could help HRs keep up with TRs who are way better than HRs in-terms of DPS or Dazing effect but still we were considered formidable. But this cannot be achieved any longer.
I employ you to reconsider you decision regarding the 4 set bonus atleast. You dont need to confine the bonus to just purified or corrupted but rather make it out of both. Same with the Elven Assualt Gear and Raid Gears.
Even considering PvE. The difficulty level has been scaled 2 times per level or something similar. Currently on preview some of these dungeons are IMPOSSIBLE to be completed. If people are using the blackice gear (purified for example) they would want the Shield Bonus atleast to help them survive a bit more Longer wouldn't they?
We can argue about how DCs and Paladins are an important part of these changes but what about the players playing classes other than DCs and Paladins, what about them? Survival has been made more a Chance thing and if maybe 2 spots of your party go for healers for a DPS spec party. How long would it end up taking the players. No one has time to do dungeons for 2-4 hours and end up accomplishing just 1 successful run.
Think from this perspective as well. Not everyone likes these changes. Everyone would have the same runspeed except TRs. Only HRs this mod could even keep up with them thanks to the 4 set bonus of PvP gear.
TRs will be the only class to be able to run and reach a node in pvp to help, a HR would lose its purpose in this case. All this above long essay only hopes to achieve 1 thing and 1 thing alone. Give us the 4 set bonuses. We need it.
Don't make "survival" a game of chance, NO ONE LIKES THAT.
