Now let me make it clear I'm not talking about moving characters or progress saves or anything of that nature in this thread it is solely about the founder pack purchase I made ON THE WEBSITE prior to the pc game launching, not being available after linking the website account details to the game even though there is a system in place that offers a reward for doing so with the illusionist companion!
I checked the store and a founders pack for the console version isn't even in the store so why they are restricting these store purchases is beyond me because they certainly don't appear to be doing it to try to get more money when those same items aren't even available in the store on the console.
When I was going over the purchase procedure I used for the founders pack there was something left out of the equation.
I bought the founders pack using the website NOT the game I did so PRIOR TO THE GAME LAUNCHING. It is an account wide STORE unlock NOT the game save. When we linked my account with the WEBSITE not the pc save during the console signup process yesterday, it unlocked an in game companion. Because this system already exists they could easily unlock the founders rewards pack on the console version, ESPECIALLY since they aren't selling a second version of it through the account linking system and then place that squarely in the hands of the NPC they have in the console game.
Why this isn't a thing especially with account linking involved between the console accounts and account on the PWE servers and with the nature of the way people purchased the founder's pack is weird. It's also a little lazy frankly.

Why unlock it on both, when they can just sell it again for xbox?
Yeah you're still not getting that transferred on Xbox unfortunately.

There is a pack in the Zen Store on Xbox One called "Champion of the North" that gives almost everything we got in the founder pack for PC, with the exception of Astral Diamonds and probably some other things that I can't remember.
It costs 6000 Zen so it's significantly cheaper than the money we spent on the founder pack.
BUT, it's really stupid that we have to buy these account unlocks again and I'll continue to refuse to ignore the Xbox version because of this.
Why even bother linking to your PWI/Arc account?

That's a great question maybe a dev can come on here and answer why is it we link our accounts at all? I mean the companion isn't half bad but what exactly IS the purpose of doing that?
And to me it's not even all of the mounts and companions I bought on the PC version I would have thought they would have had the good sense of adding this because it is not a game save it's part of the account system because I bought my pack before the game launched so all these people claiming that it's because they can't port this one thing over aren't really being honest are they.
They are also bringing the ARC system to Xbox - so I'm going to guess more games from PW are going to come to console. Possibly in the future linked accounts will be able to access PC items purchased. Just a guess.
With Xbox and Windows 10 allowing players to game across platforms this opens a lot of possibilities for game makers; so we may see something in the future that allows us to buy something on PC and use it on XBox or vice versa.
That's very interesting to know there because I wondered about Gateway and how they would add that sometime because it's always easier to level companions that way.

I played NW on PC since launch and stopped playing about 6 months ago, because the bugs were just getting too much for my patience. I was hoping to play it on my xbox one, but if they don't unlock previously bought content packs from PC to xbox, of which i bought several, then PWE wont be getting any more money from me ever, unfortunately for them.
Plenty of other games out there to play, and put money into, that aren't run by such cutthroats.

ESO will have full PC to Console transfer to keep progress. (another MMO to come out this year on Xbox One)
Defiance allows ARK hunter rewards cross platform (which is a similar framework to what's used for accountwide systems in many game titles out there)
Evolve PC rewards are accountwide and translate to the console version.
We really need an answer on this because apparently it's not being done for all the wrong reasons when it's easily possible.
