Party split for quests

I assume this is a bug and not intentional. I have found that when my wife and I try and enter certian quests (Portal of Turien and Need for Mead) that our two person party is split, but if we try and leave to regroup then the exit portal demans we be in the same instance. We can't change instances in that map and if we break party and leave then the quest and its rewards are lost. I have sent in several bug reports in game but the problem persists. Can someone look into this?

    This seems to only happen if a contract has been signed and needles distractions/safe keeping has been accepted. Hope that additional bit helps figure out why.
