I want to change my dice roll on my first character i made in open beta spent a long time on features but did'nt look at the dice when that came up so i took first ones that came up.
I was wondering if i took a race change would i be able to keep my features and just do the dice roll or would i have to remake the character from scratch.

Many thanks for any help.

Yes, your character retains its default appearance if all you do is change the ability score rolls.

Not always true, if you had the old appearance from before they removed some of them (mod 3 I believe) then you won't be able to use your previous appearance. If you do have one of the newer appearances then your current appearance should be the first premade appearance choice you are given.

If you mean by Features, your stats and feats, you get to keep them. If you mean features as in hair style and eyes? You can just redo them. Why retire it?

Because he has an old-style face. They changed the facial features a couple of modules back, and anyone with an 'old' face can't change their character's appearance without being forced to take the 'new' facial features. Unfortunately, rerolling your stats forces you to also change your appearance to the new faces if you have an old one. I have a few characters I can't stat-reroll because I can't remake them anymore and I like them how they are.

Just for a face (or graphic redux)? I personally didn't care, as unless you like to walk around getting up close and personal with other's toons, you can't really see the details while playing anyway. You see your own back 99% of the game. To each their own I guess.

Some people care about it. The OP said they spent a lot of time making their character just how they wanted him and don't want to lose it. I have characters I feel the same way about.

I personally think they should offer a token to JUST reroll your stats, without forcing you to spend all that zen on a race/appearance/name change as well. They'd probably sell a lot more. I know I'd buy tons of them.

Yes your right it was how he looked not stats/feats spent a long time on them just wished i had spent 5 mins getting a good roll of dice but he was my first character and has played a lot so i think retirement is way to go. I have another character same class that has a good dice roll and even without full boons he out dps my poor dwarf again thanks.

Just do a respec and not a race change.

You can't reroll your starting stats with a respec.

Hmm, I thought that a full respec did let you reroll.

Nope. Just lets you relocate your stat points that you earn as you level, but not your starting roll.

OH, see, I'm learning today too. I did not know that. I am glad I hadn't bought a token. hehe
