I recently bought a geforce 970 card and tried using Nvidia recommended settings, but this doesnt work at all in the game; i have to wait for item graphics for minutes and dragon event and Tiamat is just a big blur.
Is this because of lag or something else?
Is there any workaround for this?
Should I not use recommended settings?

    I had the same problem. The way it was fixed for me is not what most people would like to hear but..

    Do a clean format of your machine, reinstall your stuff including latest Nvidia drivers.
    Reinstall NW from scratch.

    this solved my issues with glitches. I tried just reinstalling drivers and redownloading the client but nothing worked until I did this. Seemed to be related to a change they did in the beginning of Mod 5 because my game ran perfect before that.

    I have a 980 GTX and have the same problem. A workout for unloaded textures is hit ESC key several times. That has solved the problem after a while fo me.

    I just wanted to start a new thread, but I think we might be experiencing the same issues. Have a look at this video, does that resemble the bug that occur when you play? Video.webm
    This happens all the time. Also, health bars, icons and the mouse cursor diasspear occasionally. Sometimes even repeated ESC mashing won't help. I'm out of ideas, it occurs on all various graphic settings and on DX 9, 9ex and 11.
    590 GTX, btw.
    Any ideas?

    PS: You can also see Sudden Storm not dealing any damage (;

    I skipped using optimized settings and starting using the performance slider starting from lowest ~ max performance.
    After a few tries the game looks nice and also runs smooth, even in Tiamat.
    So for all who have the same problem should try the same.

    It's not NW bug but rather Nvidia recommended settings being way off. I don't exactly recall the options I changed that fixed it but roughly when you go to game options choose advanced settings and set everything that you see at 200% to 100%. That fixed the issue for me without affecting graphics.
