Elemental Armor :is no more

pufy2010pufy2010 Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 301 Arc User
Hi guy's A.A here.

I see that The armor Elemental..Is no more ,in her place is an empty error spot.

My gwf (lv 70 ) still using the elemental armor ,But since Ele is no more, i have invizibile armor with Error+Crash <and definetly the armor is no longer there , bcs no extra status (meaning enchants/transcendent are gone as well)

So atm i lose Seal of Triumph , Glory , Rank 12 and a lv 70 Char.

I already have the Elemental armor ,it will be updated to the new Version (whenever its released) ?
Or i have to Make another lv 70 char AND re-RP everything from 0. ( because i spent all my Seals of triumphs on elemental set and wont have enough for new set).

May the Bacon Bless.

I would take the look of an invisible error armor over that dreadful elemental look any day of the week...

yea not likeing the look is one thing not being able to equip a chest armor on a toon you grinded to level 70 and losing the enchants on it is a whole different ball of wax personally i would take looking bad and it working over not looking bad and losing enchants and the ablity to play ones toon anyday

I am having the same problem on my lev 70 GWF with my avatar of war armor I dont care about the enchants I just want to be able to play

I got 3 black holes on my 70CW had to delete him. It's the preview server. You are a volunteer QA tester. You have to expect these things or find a new job.

Yea that really makes someone want to test their game for them when they spend a week refining enchants and artifacts, getting the new lev 70 atrifact weapon and refining it so I can test their lev 70 content for bugs and give feedback only to have all that work wiped out in one patch ... so yea this will be the last time I test their mods for them

There is a reason it's called a test server and they use the word preview.

Hence: it is beta. You are looking at something that, by definition, isn't ready to be looked at. It will most certainly break. The reason you are allowed to play on Preview Test Server is two-fold: the benefit for you is that you get to see what's coming long before it arrives and for the Devs your playing it helps reveal the bugs.

Therefore: you probably shouldn't be playing on the Preview Test Server if you expect things to never break, much less: catastrophically.

Well, the main problem on test server is the fact that we cant "test" propperly due, obvious reason, we need to rise a char from level 1 to, now, level 70 instead of be able to buy a "get 3M XP" book to avoid that. We need to grind sets and gear instead of having it obtainable for free on any NPC as we could do so with Off-hand artifacts when DEVs released it. We need to spend a lot of time in upgrading our gear and enchants instead of have a NPC giving 3M RP items to rise enchants from level 1 to, now, level 12 and so on...

If they want us to test, they should make it a REAL test server, with EVERYTHIN ON THE OPEN, not "to grind" and force us to "play" on TEST" server as if it were the "LIVE" one...

Agree with this 100% which is why I rarely go on the test server and when I do I am extremely careful. It is a test server so really everything should be at the fingertips of the players, instantly and for free. Should be able to instantly level a toon to 70 and equip it with anything you want, instantly refine enchants, artifacts, so on.

Or at least some kind of system where the time you spend on preview gives you a generous amount of some kind of token that you can use for unlocking gear and accelerated levels, so on.

They are not going to to that. If they did everyone would just play exclusively on the preview server. Why not. All the PVE is there. All the dungeons are there. Everything except zen. People would level to 70 with BIS gear and enchants and never play live. The only way it would work would be with an intermittent preview wide character wipe.

I'd have to disagree. Most other mmo's (even 12 year old mmo's) have a set up where you can get all items on test server and they havent collapsed form 'everyone' only playing there.

Wrong. It takes quite a long time to cap a char, a profession, then to gather all the armor set, then to test it in various situations to be able to give relevaant feedback. So, a minimum of stability is required here. You cannot hope for feedback if anything just disappears at any moment without notice. During the whole lifespan of a pre-Mod preview, absolutely nothing should reset. One month after a Mod is delivered then yes, the test server can become unstable, shaky, bugged, laggy, unpredictable.

This is ridiculous. How many of you ever worked in the software industry that you know better than the "devs" how to run they're own preview server? You're dealing with people who developed enough MMOs and have enough experience to know what to do. So please, give them some credit.

they ofc may know better but since its up to players testing things without something in return the thing isnt easy.
when you have to do something, you do it alone or others people terms.
there were no way to reach lv 70 except levelling? i only tested powers and feats, of course i will not test new sets and dungeons etc

You shouldn't expect anything for return, its not your job. They have enough payed beta testers to do that.
Preview is giving you a glance at whats coming, and sometimes it gives them feedback. Its not something to rely on, and it should be treated as an extra.

I think we are not only supposed to test the highest levels, but also the way to it. So leveling from 60 to 70 is testing too, probably even better than just being 70 with BiS gear from the get-go.

Good point! Maybe then, they should wipe every char from the test server on a weekly or monthly basis. New content (aside from new classes) is always going to be "end game" so it only makes sense that everyone on the server is the highest possible level so everyone is testing the new content for them. The exception of course being new classes, and people would want to level these.

Given the history of the development of this game compared to other mmos representing a major brand, there is no reason to assume they really know what is best. Sorry, but I am being bluntly honest here.

True so in this case, they could allow an intsa-level too 60 with whatever gear you want and then make it so you have to level the level 60 to 70 "as normal".
