lvl 60 blue items useless for refining in mod 6?

Anyone knows if lvl 60 blue items will be useless for refining the level 70 artifact weapons? In which case, it is still better to throw them into the current artifact weapon, which in turn will be tossed into the new lvl 70 artifact weapon for RP?

    Read some other posts in preview like : New Artifact wepons benfit players! and heres why. If you have a legendary main hand you can refine it to the new elemental main hand and get a all around better epic artifact wepon :3

    Almost correct...

    You can, after you have acquired your new and better artifact weapon, refine that. During that process you cam also use your old artifact weapon as a refining "stone", like taht blue gear now. It'll give you a sizeable chunk of RP and will be consumed. So DON'T forget to remove all enchantments from your old weapon - or if you do, spare us the QQ.

    What IMHO is still unclear is whether the 60ies blues will be useable to refine Lvl 70 items. They might be on preview, but I do not know whether this will be carried over to the release version, but I presume that e.g. the Dragon Heralds will drop Lvl 70 blues in the future...

    Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. Should I stop using them to refine my current, soon-to-be-useless artifact weapon? If the lvl 60 blues aren't able to refine the lvl 70 artifact weapon, I should just toss them in to increase the RP value of the current weapon. If they are usable on the lvl 70 artifact, then I'll save them.
