Zen AH exchange

I just recently came back to Neverwinter and back in the day i was able to buy ZEN with AD. Is that still working? i have had a posting for a while now for 500 zen at 500 AD each. just wondering if it is still working cause i see none under Top Zen listings.

    It's backlogged atm but it will recover.
    Leave your order in place and it will be filled in a few days-ish.

    k ty for the quick reply... any idea on how many days and if it will speed up with mod 6?

    Best guess: 3 to 4 days, based on the size of the backlog this morning (8 hours ago). Don't even think about placing an order at less than 500 as it will just not get filled in any sensible time frame.

    I think the backlog is caused by people buying/holding zen in preparation for mod 6 so, yes, the ZAX should settle down after launch but nothing is guaranteed. In the last month or two the price has been varying between about 460 and 500 so it is always quite near the top.

    There's been a 2.5 million backlog last time I looked (look under the "sell ZEN" tab to see it), but, after some day or three of waiting, it did work for me last week. We've had had backlogs of more than ten millions already, and even then, my buy orders were served after 10-14 days. So wait time seems to be like 1 day per million AD in the waiting loop, it seems...

    Mod 6 will put a BIG damper on AD generation/earning - this is specifically to help the "economy" - read: force the ZAX exchange rate to drop back to an average of 350/1 - which it will do, just give it a few weeks as existing AD in the economy disappears through attrition.

    Right now it's just as a was described: a new Mod is coming, many people are sitting on their existing Zen awaiting to see what the new Zen Market stuff will be, etc. And a lot more people wanting to convert AD into Zen, so there is that backlog.

    But in a month the ZAX exchange rate will be a lot closer to what it was at launch, my guess: between 300 to 350:1 AD:Zen ratio.

    I think you just don't remember it: Summer/Autumn, 2013-ish, which by your join date you should have witnessed. IIRC It started to skyrocket during first half of 2014, maybe first quarter. :)

    Well, I will at least shut down ca. half my AD minting operation to level up all those new profession levels in those I already got to 20.

    I won't be the only one doing that -so for the next month or two you can expect the ZEN price to drop, and AD price to rise. Also look at what RP worth will do, IDK / don't want to predict, we'll gotta see what the RP drop rate will bring...

    ...I'd guess it'll take quite a while for the AD production in this game to re-establish at the current level. On the other hand, their AH value might go significantly upwards - all those shiney new items will land there, eventually, and ofc many people will see and want to have them...

    Well, at least that's what I suppose Cryptic and PWE hope to achieve...

    For me that will mean an intermezzo of relative austerity, I suppose.

    Since when I joined up Jan or Feb 2014, it's been 270-ish on at least one occasion. Pre or early Mod 3, of that I'm fairly certain.

    Yes, this is generally what I'm saying, but I used the "300-350:1" number as a fail-safe. My point being: mid-range. :)

    At the moment the wait is at least 3 days , I put in a order for 3300 zen on the morning of the 9th and it still hadn't been filled by this morning ( about 6 hours ago) , I don't know if it has been filled yet though .
