Sure, I get that, but it's the "frustrating" part I'm concerned with. I've played lots of games that are very long but still seemingly designed to be as fun as possible the entire way. But in this case it seems like you get a fun game at the start, and then once you reach the level cap, you get one that has a lot less effort put into being fun and almost seems like effort is actually it put into making it frustrating.
for a while it was fun, because once you leveled up, if you were in a guild you could help other people get their gear while progressing your character.
now, we have a situation where the dungeons are less important, since gear is so cheap, and more people are single player grinding rp OR just speeding through the easiest dungeon as many times as possible.
Will be interesting to see if anything changes in the new mod, but the problem you present will not change, since according to the reddit discussion yesterday, it appears that no new dungeons or skirmishes are on the way.
Right, wildwolf8. But at least they did see fit to improve the gaming experience by removing campaign packs from the vault of piety. This is the sort of intentionally frustrating design I'm talking about.
Are you the only one... who continues to play a game that you clearly don't enjoy?
No, you are far from alone in that. There seems to be an epidemic of players in the same boat.
It's an eternal mystery to me. No likee, no playee... simples.
I like the game. What I don't like is the direction the deign team seems to be taking with regards to designing new content for the game. Can you even address the points I'm making or are you just going to put words and ideas into my mouth and attack those instead?
I think we all play, cause we still have the slightest hope, that real endgame content will be introduced again, like new dungeons, PVP maps, skirmishes and so on, not just endless and pain sticking grind for RP points.
Sadly currently only thing Cryptic does to keep us "entertained" is to slow down progress through endless grind, and not a single bit rewarding PVE content.

tiamat could have been great if:
1. it worked well every time and without having to tell certain classes to not cast certain abilities while also pretty much forcing the average player to turn ALL settings down to minimum even on 1000 dollar computers.
2. we could enter it with a group or even guarantee that entering at a certain time would get us into the same instance.
Because of those 2 things, Tiamat was horrible.
I feel mod 4 was actually decent (aside from artifact gear and boons locked behind the rng gods. artifact gear is greed pure and simple and I detest it). But mod 4 did give us a fun new skirmish and a decent dungeon. Both with 2 levels of difficulty. And it gave us fun dragons to find in previous zones as well as more quests and mini dungeons.
Mod 5 was ok as well, since it did give us a new zone with new heroic encounters. It wasn't put out very well and still has issues, but the content introduced was interesting. Not exactly what I wanted, but not bad either. Just tiamat is so broken, it is frustrating. (and of course more artifact greed. blah.)
So for mod 6, what I wanted was new content where I could take my new shiny things and hopefully have fun. Another skirmish and dungeon, at least, and new zones in which to play quests towards boons and the new level cap which was hopefully going to give me more powers to use.
But unfortunately, we are getting no new instances, it seems, and the biggest issue is MORE STUFF that pretty much immediately replaces the old (new) stuff that many of us don't even have close to maxed yet. Let me use my cool new gear on fun new content! But no. I'm going to very quickly ditch my cool new gear for newer gear and NO new content. That is terrible.
And I come to forum to discuss this in the hopes that someone will start to listen and make decisions about this great game that will take it in fun directions. So far, this is not working. Hopefully if enough voices are heard who feel the same way, we can make a difference.
I'm going to get to 70 fast, PvP to finish off any glory I'll need for gear. Then do some live testing and wait for mod 7. Hoard AD along the way. Fun mod.
the only thing i find frustrating is how they overpowered the dragon ranger mobs to be since im just not finding them not much fun anymore to kill when i end up losing all my endurance or ending up dying to them in the dragon zone because i was stun for about 10 to 15 sec witch i find very annoying when i cant move or get away when all the mobs are pounding on me at ones cause if a fix was to be done i would like to see them only have a 3sec stun while there damage wasn't very high so they couldn't just kill you in just 2 blows by there bow
There really isn't enough new content to excite me. Sure, I'll do some reworked dungeons with my guildmates, help new players get some gear if possible. Other than that, not a whole heck of a lot to do.
As for for rushing to level 70, I don't really have a choice. I'm not setting foot in PvP until I max my levels again.
I believe the point of this module is to enjoy the leveling process but this time with heroic encounters.
Just like the point of Mod 3 was to enjoy open world PVP. That isn't my thing so I didn't get much out of it.
Just like the point of Mod 4 was to kill a bunch of dragons. That was more fun.
Not every mod appeals to everyone, I suppose. So sure I guess you can just rush to 70 and then stand around bored. But that seems rather pointless when you could enjoy the journey instead.

No. That's something incomprehensible for many people.
That's the idea ,it's a mmo ,if you could finish it fast half the playerbase would be gone

You know, you don't *have* to rush to 70...
