hm, and what about GF who fight garakas and not tanking him. other party members died because he only running around him, never use tab taunt, barely use shield, dont spend a word into chat whole skirmish, even when we write to him. so he end alone in garakas fight and only running around strike him once and running again, strike him one and keep running. never use anything else. we gave him advices how to play his class - no respond. we have no hurry or desperate for loot so after little anger let him fight his way. garakas was almost dead when GF make mistake (after 10 mins) and died. we were really laughed. we try figure out if he learn anything next round but he continue his way ....
Are you saying because the GF didn't tank the boss that you all died? If that's the case you are basically saying that you cannot complete the skirmish without a GF, which is bull.
Or are you saying the GF miraculously managed to keep aggro on the boss without hardly ever hitting him or tabbing him just running round whilst you are all doing what?
Also not everyone speaks English so if you are "giving advice" maybe he doesn't understand it. Sounds like he almost killed him anyway so he thought he could do it his way. To tank the boss you have change pretty much all your powers which he wouldn't be able to do during the fight without getting killed.
Regardless, vote kicking to get loot is far more prevalent than any other thing that genuinely requires a kick, so as someone else said it is the lesser of two evils. Just because someone doesn't play exactly how you want them to play doesn't mean they should be kicked. AFKer's, bots, griefers, yes. But if you want to control how everyone else plays and what powers they use then run with a guild/friends or put in lfg need GF to tank boss, DC to heal/buff, etc.
Yesterday I pugged shores on my CW and the boon book dropped. I watched chat window so see who rolled what. 3 ppl chose need, so I did. Then the last person initiated a vote kick on one of the other players, reason for kick "need". No one had said it was a greed run, and since everyone had needed it made no difference. I voted no and the kick failed, then he didn't roll and someone told him to roll. This was an obvious attempt to kick to get the loot, we would have been next. This happens ALL the time anything valuable drops. I won the roll, but now I need book from LOL and really don't want to run it in case the same thing happens.

no, anybody who get aggro cant running around, it kills others. if he get aggro by soft taunt, he can handle it because he is GF. if you have GF in group, you have smaller damage so fight is longer and need be tanked. and you expect he will tanking, if you realize he is not tanking, it is too late.
he was normaly fighting and running (depends on his situation) and he was the only one who left, because he was turtle specced (best defense, most health). after that he start mostly running around
there is no excuse for him. he doesnt press tab whole skirmish, never defending with shield against garakas and always try to running to avoid get hit. turtle tank running to avoid hit?
i play GF too, i know possibilities, he has simple no clue how to tank properly, get his group safe. we were relatively weak group without cleric, so yes, with that composition, only polish way to success was proper tanking (if you want avoid long waiting till one person kill him with no clue how to play his class and only running around and occasionaly hit, especially GF. and i write we let him and not kick, although it was our first intend, i am sure other groups will kick him very soon, he has lucky day
Passive resistance, peaceful protest, non-compliance, refusing to obey the majority, .... are not acts of aggression.
In the real world, you don't have a right to use force or self-defense simply because a person refuses to obey, except maybe in some authoritarian regimes where non-compliance is defined as "aggression".
It's unfortunate that some innocent people may end up on your ignore list if you ignore everyone in the party but casualties are a part of war. What is the alternative? do nothing?
Edit: leaving a party with two or players from the same guild is an excellent suggestion.
Here's the thing- I exclusively run public groups. 6/10 times, it is stated that the run is greed, and the rest of the time it's assumed. Now, in these public groups, you'll get the person who waits for everyone else to greed an item, then clicks need. Jewelry, artifacts, anything exclusive to their class. They don't seem to speak english, and maybe the group gives them the benefit of the doubt the first time. 1 and 2 are fairly close, an accident because it was getting close?
Nope. This ****** does it for the second boss, too. Clad in shiny black ice in most instances, this guy is just there to ruin it for everyone else. It's harder to have pity for high-gs elitists, but it affects ANYONE who understands the need versus greed setup. e.g. anyone who sees greed-default as 'playing fair'.
For those of you who ARE that ****** and don't understand- NEEDING ON AN ITEM YOU'RE GOING TO SELL IS A HAMSTER MOVE. I have needed maybe 4 epics between 2 level 60 alts- and I've asked first. They were gear set items. That's what the need button is for. YES, if it's an upgrade you're going to use, THAT IS WHY THE NEED BUTTON EXISTS. Not to give you double the RNG luck if an item for your class drops.
In this case, is it fair to expect the 9-10k GS player trying to build himself up to deal with this guy taking a fair chance at loot he 'needs' just as much- if not more, since he'll be using the AD to gear up further? Greed runs exist because many people already have the gear that dungeon drops for them, comparable, or better, and the assumption is that EVERYONE IS GOING TO SELL THE ITEM. Most players aren't ******** and won't kick someone who rolls need for something they're going to immediately equip.
Now, there are abuse cases- if you want to call them that. I call them 'you dun goofed' cases. Like being the tank and falling off the breaking aboleth platform in Spellplague Caverns. Or being that DPS DC in PvP gear that kills the whole group simply by not healing a lick- in this instance, 4 of us aren't leaving because you, a DPS build, got slotted as a healer. You're leaving, you probably don't even speak english if you haven't listened to the rest of us telling you to slot different abilities.
TL;DR:
People get kicked, quite fairly, for unfairly rolling need on an item they're just going to sell. That guy picking up all the GREEN TRASH ITEMS gets kicked because the loot results for that spammy trash loot can black out most people's screens, especially lower resolutions. If you're 'randomly kicked', there's a reason- you goofed, they're trying to invite another guildie/friend, etc.
The vote-to-kick system is perfectly fair. Don't be a HAMSTER, contribute, don't get kicked (most of the time).
