Single target for TR

I've been struggling with this for a long time. I've tried different encount builds and I get a good set-up going but I can't seem to get them on CD fasst enough. I want to go ST (single target) because I don't feel I do enough DPS in AoE build. Can anyone please give me a good ST encount build please?

what is your recovery? Because that is your action point gain AND recharge speed. i stacked my recovery to 2.5k + swash bonus = 3.5k recovery and my encounters/dailies are up quite often.

So, high recovery means your encounters are off CD faster and your action point gain builds faster as well.

EDIT: i stacked recovery high to have dailys and encounters up quickly so i can spam dazing strike/smoke bomb/aoe encounters often for dps on dungeon mobs/etc.

For single target, however, I use Lashing blade, ITC, and shadow strike on boss type monsters. Lashing blade does huge single target damage, ITC to avoid being knocked prone while attacking with duellist flurry, and shadow strike to reapply another shadow of demise effect as this does huge amounts of single target damage. I've seen 257k lashing blade on tiamat so i very much like this set up and even 400k SoD procs

Just curious, how high did you stack your Power and ArPen? And what weapon enchant are you using?

Lashing blade and Wicked reminder are both good single target encounters. I typically only slot 2 dmg type encounters + shadow strike. Smokebomb and Dazing strike/blitz for AoE.

i stacked my power to around 7400 at that time and had armorpen near the cap at like 23%, shadowborn + cw damage buff helps alot in tiamat to see some very high hits. Also i use a vorpal enchantment.

In pve smoke should never leave your bar nor should dazing. Both are great AOE encounters and your role in a group is to daze / stun and lower the over all damage output of the target mobs. This is the same when soloing and you will use less pots and save money. For bosses slot ITC as your third encounter because you will be pulling agro and you need to stay alive. Use what ever you want when soloing.

my Rogue is more so for PvP and single target , But I dont have any problems. might be due to my stat allocation though (21 int so 11% recharge there and 2.4k recov) I use smoke / Lb / ITC usually, but sometimes swap out ITC in PVE for Dazing (Dazing aoe into smoke bomb for mad aoe damage) with my Recharge speed Everything is usually up whenever I could need it. Bosses in content like sharandar dreadring and IwD are never really a problem I just open on them with Lashing then smoke and use a flurry, by the time SoD hits theyre usually either already dead or if not SoD kills them.
