A concern - No minimap on Xbox version?

One thing I recently was brought aware of (I missed the obvious) is the fact that in every single video and screenshot that can be found from the Chinese Xb1 version, there is no absolutely no trace at all of a minimap (click here for example). I'm hoping that it's just been turned off in literally every single video/screenshot that I've seen, but let's be honest, that's very unlikely.

Is there any way to find out if the XB1 version has a minimap at all? Can a community manager or something get in touch with someone that can answer this? It's really concerning me, as the minimap is pretty dang vital in the PC version from what I've noticed so far. Not having it would be a HUGE hit.

    i think we will have to wait for the beta next week to find out, i cant find any info or recent gameplay from the chinese version of the game

    Yea probably, but it won't hurt to ask. Also, if it's not in the Beta, then it might get added later. Hopefully we'd get some information on that at least.

    Still concerned about this, and absolutely no sign of it still.

    Guess we'll be finding out tomorrow. I'll be scouring through all the menus trying to find something, ANYTHING about a minimap. Will be sure to update this post too when I find out.

    If it turns out there isn't any sign of one at all, I'll obviously be making a Beta Feedback thread about it.

    no mini map for the beta it seems =/
    Devoted cleric rule number one = We cant cure stupidity so no heals for fools ^.^

    there is a minimap.

    left bumper + up on the D pad I believe. I'm not in the game right now, but its certainly there. Its not on the screen at all times though, which is what you may have been looking for.

    I have yet to play the beta, probably won't be able to until tonight, so can you please answer another question?

    When it's active, is it at least seeable when going around doing quests? That's the main important part. It's perfectly fine if it's not seeable during conversations or the like.

    EDIT: "Left bumper button + D-pad up - Map" - that's what uberz's post says about that button combination. Are you sure it's the minimap, or is it the full sized map?

    EDIT 2: uberz confirmed that is the full size map, you can't even move your character around while using it.

    The Mini map helps , but the OPEN world is not that open. So getting lost will not be an issue. Only time it will suck not having it is when trying to locate items for a quest.

    This thread is close to two months old people, and it has been answered all ways by now in other threads and the beta.

    @bulls - No, none, nadda, zip. The devs have stated that they will possibly add one sometime after launch, and that all the fan's cries have been heard.

    @meth - Yes, it's a BIG issue when I played beta. If you're new to the game, you WILL get lost without opening your map all the time, unless your profession is an expert navigator in real life.
