    PvE- Yea having a tank would make a dungeon go smoother, but wouldn't the Paladin make a better option than the GF? Look at the game for what it is, few people use DC to heal with the massive DPS they are able to deal now. With the addition of the Paladin we can have a tank that can heal so DC's can DPS more effectively...

    PvP- GF have defense and everyone else have armor penetration (it will actually be increasing with the addition of Mod6). The GF's main talents are mostly negated especially when you encounter Plaguefire, one of the most popular weapon enchants in the game. The GF has the slowest attack speed, slowest movement speed, fewest DPS abilities and rely on the most vulnerable stat in the game.

    How can anyone with a straight face recommend this class to their family and friends? I wish I would've just chose another class to begin with but i've invested too much time and resources into my Guardian Fighter.

    I still didn't understand the change of life steal (is it more or less)
    but even small change can effect SW
    SW suppose to be leader, but except life steal healing it hardly got leadership skills (by some reason the dev insist of making it DPS class)

    guess we need to wait for final result

    I will give my first through on Life Steal change for Control Wizard.

    For me, this change is very good.

    + Actually, the defensive stat for a wizard is to obtain the good balance between Defense and Hit Point as Life Steal will just keep healing and over-healing. In short : just stack enough defense for not being one-shoot and "more damage = more heal".
    + With the proposed, as Life Steal will become less reliable, Control will become a lot more important over DPS. It will be safer to freeze/stun to reduce damage incoming instead of just jumping in the middle of the fight and do a maximum of damage.
    + It will make the healer role a lot more important.

    Of course, I'm mainly speaking of PVE situation.
    But it will need some other change/adjustment :
    Are the control tool effective enough? The more powerfull control spell (IT & ST) require to at short range.
    Did the future gear have enough defensive stat to keep CW alive? I suppose that they will be like the latest set (draconic/templar) with a good bunch of HP and Def.

    nothing change for cws at least dots/ class features dont trigger lifesteal. only bursts types of damage.

    in fact, cws will be far more powerfull than before (that is not a surprise).

    edit: copy and past

    when a tank/off tank attack, the life steal works like a average of damage taken and damage stolen. so, you got life and lost in the same time, is continuous.

    a class witch range/dots tools - unless that kind of damage+class features dont trigger life steal - shoot your damage and will steal life if lost life even in distance.

    5 minutes on youtube and you understand the idea behind thats changes (sorry to bring a pve discussion).

    nevermore use "balance arguments", devs. everyone knows what's going on here. fighters will not migrate and i am here just to say: "I warned".
