Sluggish response and chat is down for the count right now for me.

EDIT: Chat is extremely slow to respond. I'll type a message in guild chat and see it three minutes or so later.

And apparently all of my friends were so offended by my departure that they defriended me en masse.

yep i can not get in either. wait 40 min to get a LoL killed the first giant server not responding disconnect. login server time out.....

That's ok, they were all losers anyway, you're better off without them.

Hey guys, we're looking into what caused this. I'm currently able to login, so it may have been a freak occurrence.

It really does seem like that are some serious issues with Cryptic's systems. Every maint for three (or four?) weeks running has had an extended restart time and there's been at least one of not a few emergency maintenance windows. Not sure if I recall any straightup crashes like this, not while I was online anyway. But yes, they seem to be having some fairly major technical problems of late.
