even tho i was sure most people will disagree with my post i see that common sense prevailed
we dont need lvl 60 pvp awards at all.
and to those that disagree i have your handle and
for a weekend im farming unidentified yellow gear and then sending it to your mail until its full hehe
well not realy but imagine me doing so it would my point for sure

People who already have 7xLegendaries don't need any more RP, sure.
But that is only very few people. Everyone else does.
Go right ahead and send me your lvl 60 RP that you no longer want to have. Yellow gear? Not sure what that is. But green and blue gear, sure.

Well in terms of peridots, that is what green lvl 60 gear is worth RP-wise.
Each non-matching green lvl 60 item yields 100 RP. It requires an ID scroll to use, though. The cheapest stack of ID scrolls right now is 9k. So for 9k, you get 99x100 RP. For 9x5=45k, you get 99x5x100 RP which is equivalent to a stack of peridots.
So if you don't want this amazingly cheap source of RP, then by all means, send it all to me, even unidentified if you wish. That's totally fine with me.

u need to be first in pvp to get blue rare item
now tell me how much blue neck ,belt lvl 60 u got in pvp (usualy armor drops)
from 30 first places u get maybe one neck to refine(at least 30 average is 50 )
which is maybe 1 month of play for decent pvp player
so u telling me u get 800 ad neck to refine in a month and that is worth your time
and u call it cheap?
lol u get 800 ad neck from 10hours of pvp and its good-u realy need that ?
on other hand i get first place all the time coz i have 5 legendary items
and i get like 20 items to discard every day
so if they remove awards i win
u lose 800ad per month only
but listen to this go dragon well 5 min u make 5k ad easy on dragons
But I've shown that the gear drops from PVP are not worthless to the person looking to refine their gear.
Opportunity cost.
And no, the point I was trying to make is, it is too much of a hassle to pick those up, identify them and drag and drop thousands of them for 100RP each. I'm not going to do that and send them to @pointsman.

For the PVP rewards, they appear automatically in your bag. You don't even have to press 'F' to pick them up.
And you don't get "thousands". You get one per match that you place in the top 5. How many PVP matches do you do in a day? "Thousands"?
Are you even familiar with what we're talking about?
And what opportunity cost? So you are standing there spawncamping the enemy team, or you are standing there waiting for the queue to pop, what else are you going to be doing? The whole transaction takes less than 10 seconds. If you have a bunch of them piled up, it might take an entire 30 seconds. Remember that you don't even have to go out of your way to pick these items up. Please name something else that you could do in 10 seconds that would net you 100 RP.
And I even said that you could send me the unidentified pieces if you want. That's totally okay.
Is using green/blue gear for refinement just "beneath you" then? You are too proud to use it?
Please name something else that you could do in 10 seconds that would net you 100 RP
Well first of all, I think those green/blue items are taking away spots for better rewards. I think Flawless sapphires would be a more appropriate reward for a 15-20 minute match than 100RP that takes some unpackaging. This would have a similar ratio to the EXP -> RP suggestion as you would usually get 4000-5000EXP for a pvp match.
Also, that is my point. I am not going to go into a situation and do anything for 100RP. I am not going to spend hours and hours identifying thousands of green items and dragging thousands and thousands of them into my artifacts just to get 1 legendary.

Sure, and I wish Brilliant Diamonds fell from the sky. But they don't.
What should be an APPROPRIATE reward is a different question. What we DO get is an item of gear worth, at a minimum, 100 RP. So you can either (a) use it, or (b) throw it away in a fit of petulance and stamp your feet and hold your breath until you get the Flawless Sapphire to which you think you are entitled.
Guess what, Cryptic doesn't care what you do with the piece of gear. If you think that by using it, you are somehow buying into the meager reward that you think is beneath you, well then all I can say is, get over yourself.
But quite frankly, if you throw away RP that lands in your bag due to no effort on your part, you have no business complaining about the lack of availability of RP. Because it's *right there*.
Also, that is my point. I am not going to go into a situation and do anything for 100RP. I am not going to spend hours and hours identifying thousands of green items and dragging thousands and thousands of them into my artifacts just to get 1 legendary.
No one is asking you to drag "thousands and thousands" of green/blue items into your artifacts. You are getting a reward for doing something that you would normally do anyway. It doesn't even require any farming. I even offered to take it off your hands for you. You won't even do THAT. You would rather spend an hour arguing about it on the forums than spend 10 seconds dragging one green item into your gear. So don't lecture me about "opportunity cost".
And I know you are just opposed to the entire refinement regime in totality. But at some point you have to come to terms with reality. Refinement is not going away. You think it's just Cryptic being greedy. Okay, fine, it's just Cryptic being greedy. So what are you going to do about it? Hold your breath and refuse to use the RP that is being handed to you out of some statement of principle? Will that change anything? If you are this fed up with Cryptic, then why are you even here? In my life, I refuse to do business with companies or individuals that I believe are acting unethically or irresponsibly. If you feel that way about Cryptic, why do you continue to do business with them?
No I personally don't enjoy refining green/blue gear into my artifact gear either. It would be great if we had an XP->RP system as ironzerg proposed. It would be great if we had more RP stones dropping as loot. It would be great if there were more frequent 2xRP events. It would be great if we could craft RP stones ourselves via some profession, even if it was just a rare task. It would be great if there were lots of improvements to the refinement UI. All of these things would be great. But we don't have them, at least not yet. So I have to make do with the situation in front of me. I see free RP that drops into my gear? You bet I am going to use it, and without question.
I didn't say brilliant diamonds. I specifically said flawless sapphires which are the appropriate ratio based on the whole EXP -> RP suggestion. I also think that 5000 refining points that you are unable to sell on the auction house is a fair reward for a 15-20minute commitment.
I don't throw relevant RP away. I have never thrown a lesser resonance stone away.
Do you know how much RP is required to get 1 legendary artifact? Now how much RP does the most difficult and challenging dungeon/raid give?

I'd love to get Flawless Sapphires too. But we don't get Flawless Sapphires. That we don't get Flawless Sapphires is not a reason to throw away the FREE RP that automatically lands in your bag. I see you added "relevant RP". What do you consider "relevant RP"? Is 100 RP beneath you? Do you think you are enabling Cryptic's stinginess by using a 100 RP gift?
By refusing to use the 100 RP gift that you are given, it does not improve the chance that you will get a 5000 RP gift in the future.
And yes I am fully aware of how much RP is required to get a legendary artifact. And how I got my legendary mainhand it is not by throwing RP away. In fact, earlier tonight I spent about an hour buying blue belts from the AH and refining them into my artifact belt. Was it fun? No. But it was cheap. I paid between 1 AD and 1.33 AD for every 1 RP that I got from the belts. That is better than you will get from stacks of any RP stones. Since I don't have a ton of AD, that is what I have to do. Is that how I wish things were? No. But I live in the real world, not in the world that I wish existed.
I also think that 5000 refining points that you are unable to sell on the auction house is a fair reward for a 15-20minute commitment.
I don't even. Well I guess that this explains pretty much this whole thread. It's not that anyone thinks that PVP rewards are a problem. That's nutty. You are somehow wanting to turn PVP into an efficient RP grind. Ok that explains it. It's preposterous but it does explain it.

100RP in that form? Yes it is. An option to have 100RP automatically applied to my artifacts would be a more clean method. Like I said, I am not going to spend hours identifying thousands of gear and dragging thousands of items individually to my artifact for 100 RP each when each artifacts takes 4.6mil right now and will probably double next mod.
If you want legendary artifacts earned, I agree with that. Gate it through difficult and challenging dungeons then.

Efficient RP grind? Read the patchnotes about how there will probably be new BIS artifacts and they are going to have an even bigger cap.

There are lots of ways in which it COULD be better. But we don't live in that world. We live in the current world. I'm not going to refuse to engage in reality just because the world isn't exactly to my liking.
Like I said, I am not going to spend hours identifying thousands of gear and dragging thousands of items individually to my artifact for 100 RP each when each artifacts takes 4.6mil right now and will probably double next mod.
That's funny, I see it quite the opposite - because artifacts require so much RP, I can't afford to let any of it go to waste.
How odd that you seem to fret about artifacts requiring so much RP, yet you are completely okay with just throwing RP away as if it were nothing.
There are lots of ways in which it COULD be better. But we don't live in that world. We live in the current world. I'm not going to refuse to engage in reality just because the world isn't exactly to my liking.

You have no idea.
Regardless of what preposterous ammounts of RP they expect us to spend nextmod is irrelevant. Efficiency of a grind is in how it compares to other grinds. 5000RP in 15 minutes is better than average just grinding content unless you have greater hoars. I'm just saying you should drop the pretense of complaining about the current PVP drops. If what you want is for PVP to be a better way to get RP than PVE just say that. Then you won't have to defend some easilly dismissed arguments about RP, sale rates, and the cost of scrolls. Or somehow pretend there won't be a good 5 minutes waiting for PVP to que to deal with them.

I agree but I also have slightly different reasons to agree. First of PVP is a TEAM effort, or at least should be and aside from bots most people try at least until they get roll stomped.
So if they continue to give a reward they need to stop rewarding the "top" node capper or point gainer. I mean really, if this is a team game then why are we rewarding one person that wouldn't even be number one if not for the help of teammates? So shouldn't the reward be to everyone on the team?
IF you are going to issue a reward reward the team if NOT then drop the rewards totally. Personally I think rewards should either be refining now or fashion pieces you can't get anywhere else but from PVP or something similar. Or maybe give out REFINED AD as a reward something like 500 - 1000 AD that you don't have to refine. It certainaly would encourage more players to play I think but since there is obviously a top heavy class you probably need to make sure the losing team gets somthing too otherwise why should they play?

Right and this is where most players have a problem. BIS gear is not gated through difficult and challenging dungeons. It is gated by RNG and the auction house.
Castle Never's final boss did not drop green gear that you then needed 10 million diamonds to refine.

If you were merely saying that the RP market created by a combination of bonding everything and swamping the game with items that can only be promoted with a short list of these items I am pretty sure everyone would agree with you. But that's not what you are saying. You are saying you want PVP to reward RP equal to PVE after spending a couple million on enchants. As silly a suggestion as I find that I'd not object to a thread. Most threads on these forums are for rather silly ideas as far as I can tell. It was trying to ninja it in disguised as a complaint about dealing with current PVP rewards. Which is not a real problem at all.
But that's not what you are saying. You are saying you want PVP to reward RP equal to PVE after spending a couple million on enchants.
All types of gameplay should be rewarded. Its common sense. The fact that Foundry rewards aren't as good as other avenues is the main reason why it has been dead for over 2 years. But anyway, I never said the current rewards from doing dungeons is adequate.
I can't believe people are complaining about free stuff now.
Typical self-entitled, self-absorbed mentality: "If *I* don't like it, that must mean *nobody* likes it, therefore I want it gone for everyone"
And yes in the rare instances that one of my characters gets a blue lvl 60 item after a PVP match, it instantly goes into gear for refining, so it is not worthless.
Well said, but get used to it. This is a discussion re PVP...what would you expect from the gallery.
I say we campaign for artifact ear plugs for this very reason

If someone were to put it in my wallet, then we should have the option to autorefine your artifacts with every single item picked up.
As it stands now, you are squatting down and picking up pennies on the floor which is fine if that's what you want to do. I and most players do not.

Just because it's worthless to you does not mean it is worthless to everyone.
This thread was about wanting to remove the gear drops for EVERYONE, not just for those who find no value in them.
If you can't find value in them, then why not give them to someone who does?
its not that i find no value there is no value in pvp not even pennies
10 hours for 800 ad is good deal for anyone?
btw i sent u 20k item in mail
that means u can discard any item in pvp next 2 years atleast
Thank you for the donation.

If gas prices started to increase again, I'm not going to start roaming around the local mall picking up pennies on the floor.
Remove FREE RP rewards is not making the game better, especially since we wouldn't get anything in return.
That would depend on how poor you were and how much gas cost, wouldn't it?
