Yet another fantastic Event.. But still no love for us pvpers

Seems right now that Cryptic is concentrating all the efforts on PVE events.
This is nice to break the routine.
But still we have our stack of 50.000 glory points unspended in our bags.
The PVP set is the same as it was 1 year ago. I have the complete set included jewelry and is far inferior to end game PVE sets, so is a total waste of bank space for now.

I want to give some hint for future upgraded in PVP shops:

- New sets (of course)
- PVP armor patch green, blue, purple (+25, +50, +100 tenacity)
- PVP underware (Pants and shirt)

And please, fix balancing, just a little love for Warlocks :)

    if you are praying for any balancing expect it in the next mod. I wish there was someone paying attention to pvp balance and would have stuff done to do small tweaks every couple of weeks but pvp is just a side attraction in the grand scheme of things. Until then expect pvp to keep going down the same road. I can only hope they pay closer attention to what is said in the preview section of the forums for pvp balance as they should always look for the outlying views as those have probably the best perspective on balance. As what tends to happen people defend the overbuffs and cry over anyone asking for a change(nerf) to some feat, mechanic, or power.

    You can at least hoard artifacts to help with refining for future artifact releases for now, but that is all. I wish they would add an RP exchange system for glory outside of artifacts to compensate for the lack of RP from doing PvP activities compared to PvE.

    I would think that PVPers would have gotten the memo by now that NW isn't a PVP heavy game...

    So you would say that it is a PvE game?

    Don't get me wrong me but the last 'challenging' /dungeon/ was CN.

    This game is either a PvE nor a PvP game. But that's just IMHO.

    The PVP set is the same as it was 1 year ago.

    Except, one year ago it was not completely impossible to survive a 1v1 fight against a TR. The odds were already much against you but there was a chance.

    In a nutshell, yes. It's neither PvP or PvE, it's solo RP grinder.

    As others have mentioned, you literally have to do NO group work in this game anymore and get everything you want solo queuing for one event (tiamat) and then running around solo killing dragons.

    In the off chance you dont get the t2 set for your alt, your in luck, they are now 20-30k apiece (2 days of ad grinding X 4 , so less then a week to buy them all)

    You then salvage the rest and start purchasing outrageously priced RP, while also accumulating them from every other resource, all to get things slightly past purple.

    The game is no fun from anyone's perspective.

    Its boring, Boring!

    If RP doesnt go away, then they need to start handing out RP for running GROUP content. (and no tiamat doesnt count, neither does minor stones)

    You need way to much RP in this game to start with, you basically funnel everything to one toon now. Not good, not good at all for many of us.

    This so called event is pretty worthless as well, (I recommend getting your free cart per toon and moving on, green comp is pathetic and everyone should by now have 4 or so greens they can just slap on to any toon for free anyways)

    In terms of events, the Winter Festival was great, then I really loved respens and the anniversary one, CTA's though, mostly are terrible , for not much in return.

    A year ago CTA was actually more worth it, but they have nerfed R5 drop rates by at least half if not more in all of these.

    I remember getting 40-50 for about a hundred runs, now your lucky to get ten in that amount of time.


    There is no real pve or pvp in this game at this point. Cryptic put too much emphasis on power creeping and then locked out player progression through RP (which of course came after many already purchased the exploited material to upgrade)

    So once again, its only legit players who hurt the most. Ya. Good for us, we suffer for the rest of you I guess.

    RP should only come through playing the game through content, and most desirable, through group content. Thats what a MMO is , or should be.

    Release new DD's that require 15k min, and hand out purple RP in chest. With small chance roll at brilliant diamond.

    People will flock to it, trumpets will blare , angels sing and poeple will tell their friends to start playing again.

    No more artifact equipment, stop the outrageous power creeping for no purpose, let time balance out the pvp crowd. You keep advancing items so quickly , most of us cant catch up, allowing an ever small and dwindling crowd to control the the matches and then come on the forums and complain about the lack of competition (duh!). I do not proscribe to the theory that its the players fault, if a game allows something to be done, then some players are going to do it. We simply shouldn't have double slotted equipment to start with, but now that we do, and you chocked off RP progression , you need to give us 6 months apparently or a year to catch up.

    ... I for one would welcome either more avenues for RP through group content or cut the amount of RP needed by at least half on the artifact equipment (and or both)

    Small tweaks have been done. Check the patch notes over the past few months.

    That is strictly your opinion. Refining points should have multiple ways to be obtained in my opinion, not mostly through group/game content. Some people are group-oriented, some are not.

    Overall, sounds like you are pretty much completely dissatisfied. I'd look elsewhere if you feel this bored and have no fun anymore. I know I would if I felt the way you wrote above. Good luck! :)

    I still hold out hope, that in a months time they will fix some of these issues, thats why I stay, trust me , Ive looked around. Nothing new Ive tried has caught my fancy, I really enjoyed neverwinter up to and around mod 3, since then its gotten progresively grind heavy and group content has become less and less important.

    I really enjoyed PVP (did 6 classes through there (just never did more then 20 matches on SW, I dont love playing SW in pvp at all) 6 profound sets! Thousands of matches, mod 2/3 WAS great place to level and enjoy and have fun. But mod 4/5 has completely destroyed not only balance, but the the ability to compete without having massive gear score (so my 16k HR is pretty worthless, other then I could go trapper and be annoying, Mod 5 is the worst of it yet. Introduction of 3 more artifacts and those stupid jewelry options, not good for the game balance, not at all. Being down 1-2k gear score is one thing, being down 5-6 or more is something else, you just cant compete and play more then one toon anymore, and that to me is the definition of boring.

    Allow avenues to get more RP, Allow avenues to do group content, Allow avenues to play more then one Toon. WE COULD do all of those things until mod 5, then BAM, slam, they remove that from the game.

    If I cant voice my opinion on it, then I cant get it to change. I express my dissatisfaction , due in part in my desire that some of it may get fixed by next mod.

    Yes, I agree with much of what you said, especially about how difficult it has become to play multiple characters now. I have several that have just become leadership mules that I used to play regularly. Overall, the grinds have become pretty massive to gain boons. I think Dread Ring did it best!

    Look at what they've been doing. You can't switch instances in icewind pass. You can't queue with your friends in Tiamat. Most of the content revolves around dailies and heroic encounters. No guild integration, no real raids, no tier 3 dungeons, no new PVP maps and modes. You aren't wrong when you say Neverwinter is a solo RP grinder.

    It's what they want. You get frustrated for ppl with 22k gear owning you. You spend money.
    It's funny how nobody want to admit that they spend money.
    If you ask everyone how did they get the legendary items so fast you can hear many funny stories.
    It's all about money. AS someone says before me, till mod 3 this game was really funny and lovely. Even pvp wise.
    Now we all look like mouse in a cage running on a wheel, doing the same things over and over in PVE, getting frustrated in pvp.

    hmmm, you do relize that it was very cheap to get legendaries until they nerfed the bind on them.

    There isnt anyone in this game spending 200 bucks to make a legendary, or if there is its less then 1% of the enter playerbase.

    There are some people who of "ahem" "coughs" have loads of AD, some of it might be legitimate, enough AD in fact that to buy 100's of blood rubies through zen , really aint no thing.

    But those people didnt make all of that AD through selling zen, thats for sure.

    Having it gated to this extent isnt good for anyone.

    agree, there is no reasonable expecting that someone who get owned by 22k gs guy will spend money to be par. not everyone is millionaire. on the other hand, newbies can be carried at tiamat so why would they spend if they can get great things for free? only to click on door, get oneshoted once and then wait to the end of event?

    seriously, main devs income must be from buying packs when new modules come in and not through refinement sales, they probably expected now, its madness. i am little depressed new lockbox was just placed in game. i expected new module will be live in one month or so. how long must we waiting for him? if you consider current state of game, its hazard. i have currently enough linu for my two main characters for boons and arti gear. i even bought several imp cloak to sell later. i start to be very boring, the game has no reason to play, you cant get any progress ... cant be serious we get temple of tiamat to play for 3 months ....
