+3% hp, otherwise pretty similar to regular DB (although only 2% bonus healing as opposed to 3%).

    Oh, and they're shinier.

Wonder if it's tradable. On the plus side shiny, on the other hand I'm not sure it's worth what will possibly be a high cost.

    Edit: supposedly it is.

I would expect it is tradeable. It specifically says you gain access when you "use" the token. So you should be able to sell it before use.

Additionally it wouldn't be very wise to have the possibility of a person already unlocking it and then getting another...or encourage people to not open those lockboxes if they already own the race unlock.

Yes, it's tradeable, there's one posted in the AH (Miscellaneous).

Wow. 12million AD. That's what, $240 worth of zen for one subrace? If it sells, that highlights AD's gross inflation.

That's just because it is the first. Look at what Angel Companions were going for when the first few people hit 360 coins and decided to move them. The price will likely settle somewhere far below that price.

This is not nearly an accurate comparison. The Angel companions can be gotten by anyone, for free. All you have to do is log in for 360 (potentially non-consecutive) days and invoke. This is a legendary drop from a dropbox that requires real money to open, AND will almost certainly be discontinued in the future. Legendary mounts go for 12 million +, and that's a single mount that doesn't go any faster than the purple ones. This will likely not go down below what it costs now. 12 million is probably bare minimum.

Difference is, if you keep invoking you'll eventually get an angel. Orange lockbox drops on the other hand, are rarer than hen's teeth. They maintain value. Metallic Ancestry is the only possible way of unlocking this race. Demand will be constant.

For now. Wouldn't rule out a special promotion or ZEN store item down the line.

Man, I really hope so, because them putting a race (even a kinda lame one) in a lockbox is really uncool in my opinion. A mount, companion, or artifact being in a lockbox is one thing, entire races are something entirely different. Unfortunately, things from lockboxes turning up on the zen store is really rare. They're pretty protective of lockbox exclusivity. Stuff that comes out of lockboxes, stays in lockboxes for the most part.

lol bare minimum. for 3.75m I can get the dragonborn pack that gvies me a race, bag space per toon and an epic artifact per toon as well as a tonne of other stuff. Not only that but it seems to drop more than other legendary items (as it should, 1 in about 5000 is way too low). I honestly doubt there'd be that many paying so much for a reskin. Something that took like 5 extra mins tops to make.

Remember the emperor beetle? That was pretty freaking rare and the first legendary of its time. How much did it sell for. 1m because it was seen as nothing more than a reskin. It has gone up now that the lockboxes aren't active and trading events upped its value.

People do silly things for something 'exclusive' that marks them as luckier/richer than everyone else. Like I said, legendary mounts generally don't go for less than 12 million, and that's for ONE mount that doesn't even go faster than an epic one.

I updated my post mentioning the emperor beetle that went for 1m. This race really isn't that different from regular dragonborn. It's pretty much standard for initial prices to be a rip off.

i dont think it ill drop its from lockbox so its RNG based look at tenser disks its mount and still keep at 15m~ and now this is a new race the price ill most likely rise instead.

Pretty sad this is limited to the lockbox. I would of possibly purchased it as an add-on to my dragonborn pack instead of gambling with lockboxes. No way I'm going to pay insane AH prices, especially the only reason I'd want it was for the additional skins.

Possibly. It has happened before, but I believe a special promotion is the wrong move.

This shouldn't be a special promotion or a lockbox drop. Everyone with the $75/7500 zen dragonborn pack should automatically receive this and any future dragonborn race unlocks.

So, not bragging, but I happened to be lucky enough to get this as a drop. I initially thought about selling it, and even want as far as to list it on the AH, only to be undercut within minutes of posting. That pretty much settled it for me, I decided to open it. Bought a race reroll token, and /cry... The +2 stat bonus is currently "bugged" ( I hope ) to only give you one stat +2. Hope this gets fixed, otherwise if this is WAI, I am a sad panda.

Metallic Dragonborn is only valuable and in demand cus its currently pretty Exclusive, if it becomes something you can obtain easily, then the value and demand would drop significantly... :O

It is not going to cost more than a Dragonborn Pack soon following the trend of newly released items. Just there are a couple of people trying to sell it for 10+ million doesn't mean there is even a soul who is willing to buy it for even 2 million AD.

Buy the Dragonborn Pack if you want to play Dragon now instead... or if you have patience to wait a little longer, eventually when a truly new race comes the Dragonborn Pack will be sold at much lower price.

Wait for more bugs when Bahamut the Platinum comes... looks like he may since the metallic dragonborn thingie may be a hint... then the gem dragons...

Hmm.... I guess I will wait for the Gem Dragonborn race then :p

Along with platinum dragon artifacts compared to golden dragon? It did make me wonder about his arrival though. Though my D&D knowledge is more limited.

Gold is a metal too. In D&D, dragons are divided into 3 alignments. Metallic dragons are lawful. Chromatic dragons are chaotic. Gem dragons are neutral.

I understood it as it is additional to those. Please, can anyone confirm this?
