Howdy folks!
Completion of the PVP campaign is a long journey and among the daunting tasks ahead for adventurers, 1,000 NPC Kills in GG PVP is an especially tall order and a great deterrence for many (to attempt to complete the campaign).
I embarked on the journey and emerged victorious recently so thought I share with the community how I went about farming NPC Kills in GG PVP.
First things first- The method works best when you're on the losing team (I'll explain why later)
- This is just one of the many possible methods that you can adopt (thanks to morenthar for sharing what works for him)
- It has worked for me and I averaged around 40-50 NPC kills per run whenever I'm on the losing side
- The guide is for someone who is entering GG PVP with the sole purpose of farming NPC kills. If you prefer to enjoy the game without going out of the way to collect NPC kills, then this may not be for you
The Basics- NPCs only spawn in Node #2 and Node #4
- I was told that you could clock a NPC kill as long as you’d damaged it, you need not be the one landing the final blow (I’ve yet to verify this)
- Killing these counts toward NPC Kills
- TR's Decoy
- SW's Soul Puppet/Immolation Spirit
- Mercenary, Hurler and other NPCs that spawn at Nodes
- Amusud
The Methodology1) Get onto the losing team
- Find out, by trial and error, what time to queue into GG PVP to give you higher odds of being on the losing side
- NPCs only spawn if the Node is controlled by the opposing team (i.e. you’ll want Node #2/4 to be under the control of the opposing team)
- Majority of the players on the winning team tend to spawn camp, allowing you to farm the NPCs peacefully at Nodes #2 or #4 (i.e. the node further away from your camp site)
2) Which node should I go to?
- It is easier for Luskans to farm NPCs at Node #2 and for Delzouns to farm NPCs at Node #4 (see pictures below for the hiding spots)
- It is easier for you to avoid detection at the respective nodes above (assuming the other faction is spawn camping at your base)
- I usually take the tunnel to reach the node as there are tons of enemies swarming above ground
3) NEVER cap the node that you’re farming NPCs on
- Doing this will reveal your position to enemies and draw unnecessary aggro
- Your aim is to remain undetected at the node and farm as many waves of NPCs as possible (they will respawn after a short duration)
4) Save your encounters and dailies for the NPCs
- I generally do not dismount from my ride and engage in battles unless I’m dismounted by enemy players
- You will want to hit the NPCs with as much fire power as possible once they spawn to allow you to collect the kills quickly and to avoid detection (i.e. the longer the fight at the node, the more likely you’ll be busted)
5) Ask and thou shall be given…
- You will encounter times when your teammates are capping the node you’re farming NPCs on. In such situations, try PM-ing the player(s) and ask if they could stay off the node. Majority won’t but a few friendly ones will.
- Do likewise for players from the opposite faction that you’ve encountered while camping at the node. Promise them that you’ll not cap the node and live up to your promise!
- I’ve met quite a few friendly players who not only left me alone to farm the NPCs but also told their teammates not to attack me.
To those who are heading out to farm NPCs after this, good luck and I sincerely hope that this guide benefited you in some way.
To those who happen to be on the winning team and chanced upon players farming NPCs at the said nodes above, be a good sport and let them continue as long as they are not capturing the nodes.
Lastly, I welcome any constructive feedback and suggestions on how this guide can be improved.
Cheers and Good Luck in GG PVP!

That's a good suggestion. Thanks for pointing out a timing that people could work with.
I'm Luskan too and I usually queue solo or with 1-2 friends with a similar aim of farming NPCs.
We usually find ourselves on the losing team whenever we queue in instantly once Phase 2 commences and that netted us the most NPC kills.
I farmed approximately 750 kills in less than 2 weeks this way.
Good for you.
Guess our playing time is different. Pugs always cap the node and halt my farming progression.

My toon's a vain pot so she pestered me to go get that Pirate Commander set... I caved.
Thanks hugh!
WTB Class Reroll please
Thanks for appreciating the guide and hope it'll be useful for you and many out there.
The ideal strategy is of course for both factions to coordinate so that each could farm NPC kills at one of the nodes but this is highly impossible due to the randomness of pugs and their actions, and of course, those who are out for blood only.
