When I started into D&D, Elfharrow was just some background that gave my character some +2 nature +2 athletics bonus for the P&P mechanics
As this character grew up and into Neverwinter I started getting more interested on what her origins would be because of that name, from Elharrow began a goose chase for anything about its predecessor Misty Vale, into its demise caused by Halruaa blasting on the Spellplague, to stories of the Shining South, the tribesmen of the Shaar, for the Netherese escaped and founded Halruaa, to the fall of Netheril, to the causes on gods plotting from the Shadowfell and so on and so forth that is the rabbit hole called Forgotten Realms
Was curious, in which ways has the birthplace of your characters influenced on what their personality would become?

One of my characters became a Doomguide because her family's cottage, (located just outside Neverdeath - her father made tombstones), was attacked by zombies/skeletons when Valindra & the Red Wizards started raising the undead en masse - a group of Doomguides saved her, so she aspired to be like them.
