i beleive but can be wrong, you can still open gifts, maybe even still buy them from zen store. Their will be a vender in PE to buy stuff with lights and stars, about the blue ones you give to partys beleive you can still do that as well. Don't see a reason why not.
as for light pots and light motes, they likely stay and have to wait until next winterfest.

There's always been an event vendor around for 3-4 days after an event ends so you can still cash in the event currency. Thes gifts GIve currency so they should still be valid. The Starlight Bags give more gifts etc.. wash rinse repeat until all gifts are gone.
I do wish we could cash in the Winterkill Emblems, and Ring of Lights like the Fortune Stars though. Even if they are only worth 100 Lights of Simril each this could really boost some people's rewards.

Hmmm... I'm glad to hear about the event vendor thing. Being new to Neverwinter (& came in during the middle of Winter Festival) I have never been through such an event before.
This game could really use something like a currency exchange place. Each map has a different bounty, and I always seem to have extras left after I get seals or whatever. It would be nice to be able to exchange leftovers for AD or something like that.
You can still use the gifts. You will get starlight parcels. In fact, since Cryptic did not fix the gift exploit it seems people are allowed to use it, so they can get infinite amounts of ZEN items: wards, mounts, companions and bonding stones, all without spending any $ on them.
