Foundry Construction Question (duplicating the Dread Ring Test Dummies)?

Basically I want to do a custom testing field with Practice Dummies (or similar), no loot, no experience points, for character testing (ie: not have other people pollute the test). In one of my previous MMO's, I had incredible testing grounds, and would like something like that (marked range circles, dummies with various DR's).

Is there any point to pursuing this?

there are no dummies in the foundry, only real enemies. You can't put an enemy that doesn't attack back. (as far as I know at least)

Yeah, there's no dummies in the foundry. Instead, for testing purposes, I'd create what amounts to a grinder with a very specific number of enemies, maybe 100. You should use a variety of enemies, but make sure not to use enemies that spawn other enemies (like Deathlocks, portals or summoners or whatever) so you can be sure each run has the same number of mobs. If you use tougher enemies so you have more overall HP to clear (and therefore more attacks to measure), the AoE and other hits might skew your numbers if you're trying to measure defense/deflect, but you should be able to get pretty accurate data in aggregate anyway if you run several tests and compare the results - you can do that if the runs are based on the same number and type of enemies.

Besides, combat dummies have no defense, so while you can get some useful data from them, it's not going to be as good as data collected via actual combat.
