quest mark disappears / NPC can NOT be asked again

Hi all,

i work on my first quest in foundry but got stuck and don't know why it does not work. The problem is that after i speak for the first time with the NPC (with few dialog-tree's) the quest mark disappears and i can not speak to him again. I do not get any quest from the NPC.

How can i make at the end of first "dialog" block that a quest is accepted and the NPC can be asked again and again about let's say 1 topic/info about the quest?

Thx and regards.

If you want repetitive dialogs, you will need to type it in the "Contact" area of the NPC behaviours. The quest dialog will only appear once while that current objective is active. Once spoken to, an objective should appear on the right of the screen as per usually does. If this does not happen, this may because you haven't named the objective (i.e. kill enemies/speak to NPC etc).

I don't know if it's still this way, but if I remember right it used to be that if you had an objective NPC rather than a component NPC, once the objective to talk to them was complete, it was done. Nobody else could talk to it.
I got around that by having it despawn once the objective part was complete, and respawned an exact duplicate in the same place, but as a component not an objective, to provide any further information or interaction.
Lately, though, I try to avoid using dialog objectives at all. If I have required dialog, I'll figure out a way to use trigger on dialog prompt reached to make it so that you have to talk to someone without having the restrictions that objectives place on it.
