Suggestion for Winter Event - New Use for Winterkill Emblem and Ring of Light

I've been looking forward to the winter event for many months, mainly because of how fun the race is, how much fun I have on the sledding hill (have you tried dashing with a Steal Time-enhanced Warlock yet to see how far you can fly?), etc. But I was a little disappointed to realize that there isn't any use for the Winterkill Emblems and Rings of Light once you've finished upgrading your Simril Lightcrafting profession to 3.
So, I thought about what new things I would have liked to have seen this year, and think I've got a use for them.
It's far too late this year, as it requires new art assets, but if there's time in the development schedule leading up to next year, how about one or two sets of Winter clothing? They could be purchased using Winterkill Emblems and Rings of Light, allowing us to use up an item that is flagged "Cannot Discard, Cannot Sell" so it isn't cluttering our inventory, and we get something neat to encourage us to participate in the events more competitively.
