Hello! I am a newish player to this wonderful game now and I have come to realize that trickster rogues are completely OP in the pvp from 10-59. If you buffed up 5 rogues with purple eq, they completely dominate any mixture of any of the other classes who have all spent similar $$ on their characters as the rogues have.
Now, I get the fact that game has to allow players to buff up their characters with the purple artifacts, purple weapons that level with you, and the xvim set that does the same. That is fine, the game needs a source of income to stay running. My problem is, if a GWF spends the same money, he still gets completely owned by the rogue.
When I play my rogue, there isn't a single class I can not solo, except for other rogues played by better players. And in 5v5, I do even better because people can't pay as much attention and I can still 1 stab anybody who's not a buffed up with the exception of guardian fighter, or cleric (however the cleric still has no chance because I daze him and them he dies in the next 3 seconds. And even when the guardian fighters survive, I just roll out of the way and keep them at range with my ranged attack.
My question is, should my friends all abandon their gwfs, clerics, gf, cw for trickster rogues decked out in purples? or will this issue ever be addressed and balanced?
And suddenly about 80% of rogues are complete and utter ****heads and ignore strategy to just farm for kills and do whatever they want. They need to be nerfed back to only being useful for contesting points. Most players in this game if given the opportunity will just chase kills instead of actually trying to score.
Aren't the big popular PVP guilds solely doing premades at level 60? They care not for low level PVP and what happens to it.
There are quite a number of PVP players who aren't good enough for the intense premades at 60 though and so they get their kicks from dominating at low level PVP with their rank 10 enchantments. Those are the ones who would not endorse it.
when your PVP guild members decide to roll a new character, am I really supposed to believe that they do the whole PVE quest line over again? umm, no. they twink their way entirely through lowbie PVP with their rank 10's and pvorps.
and it's not an either/or thing. i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the "elite PVPers" have lowbie alts that they use to roflstomp lowbies and get their kicks from that as well.

Not really. Most of these players wanted to get to 60 asap so they can do their roflstomp there. Main PVE questline is still the fastest way.
Plus don't forget they also have to work through all the boons etc. They wouldn't waste their time at low level pvp.

Well sure everyone has dabbled in low level pvp. Good pvp players, bad pvp players, good pve players, bad pve players, random folks.
However, your first response was phrased in a way that meant all these top PVP guilds love hanging around low level pvp which isn't true.
It's mostly no-names hanging around low level pvp killing folks with their quadruple gearscore.
Putting a level requirement on enchantments and nerfing the mulhorand gear would solve some of it.

You are right. This is the current situation but rogues will be nerfed. Its not a matter of 'if', its a matter of 'when'
Here's how it works in games like the free to play Neverwinter. A class is always OP, any class and they rotate. Thus people who play said class are enticed to gear it up to bis levels. To do that 90 out 100 people will have to pay realworld money. Surely this creates tension between current OP class players and the non-OP class players. This tension grows. Contrary to popular belief the Devs do pay attention to their playerbase but they dont look for the things we suggest, like bug fixes, possible improvements etc, they monitor the tension levels. And before the non-OP class player reach peak frustration the devs patch things up. Suddenly what was OP yesterday is no more and a new king is rising...
So, keep that in mind always with games such as this. Spend your time and money wisely and know that nothing lasts. Best thing you can hope for is have some momentary fun. Dont invest too much, play it day by day. Dont plan long run as the Devs certainly dont.
Row, row, row your boat, Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, Life is but a dream.
Not a single post in response to the OP is constructive. It's either tacit bashing of the company or guild accusations without actually calling out the name of the guild.
Thread done.

Though I desperately believe low level PVP should be fixed as well. Put level requirements on all enchantments.
your PVP overlords would never endorse this

Stealth reveal is not a huge deal in low level pvp I don't think.
I predict TRs are still going to dominate but maybe I'm wrong.
