cause I'm a Cw with just 17 wis, but with the CW artifact that gives 450 CC resist. Fighting another CW with entagling force I wasn't able to cast some other power, since he went down in lesser then 1 sec.
So, after inspecting him, I found he has just 17 wis like me, without CC bonus, deflect or artifact to disrupt.. how do you explain this?

A question I also have, I have 28 wisdom and I mistakenly purchased a Wisp companion which gives overall 43% control resist, I never see where this actually works. I have tried to observe the behaviour when the dragon roars, from what I have seen it looks like everyone has the same stun time as me, even a class where I can assume they have low control resist. One of the cleric dragon offhand bonuses is to give you +25% control resist, I am willing to bet that it will make zero difference.
I have searched the forum for this, somebody asked about control resist in 2013 and there was no response, so until somebody says otherwise I am going with the assumption that it does not work at all and one should not invest anything into control resist.
i think its reduce the time you have been controlled
t = 100/(100+%control resist)
so 43% reduce the time by
100/(100+43) = 0.7 (you will be controlled only 70% of the duration compare to 0 control resist person)
on small control powers its hard to notice it
you might notice it on a dragon run
Just to note, ur 450 resist is how much, 5,5% bonus? Whilst OoI is 15% bonus (18% for oppressor?).
Anyway even before OoI boost i used it in pvp (now its back to 15% except for oppressor when feated) and it pays off for even 100ms advantage counts when fighting cw vs cw. Now am not most of the time as i have boons and using artifacts (shard and controler sigil) (and 21 base wis), thus am like ~18% both resistance and power and the SS+EotS has a nice dmg burst sometimes.
edit: oh its 19 base wis, forgot about the currently rare wis belt )
A bit nosy NW-DKG7E99X6
"Hardcore" exploration journey and dungeon crawl. Read its description prior to trying it.

again I am not sure in the formula

I don't know, I've the feeling that CW is no more Control... today a TR with concussive strike could control you a lot more..
