Ok since the opening of this new encounter I have been the unfortunate victim of terrible teams, this by no means every player I have been involved with in this event was a ****, but that an to many were for the event to be completed in the allotted time.
So 20 events with only 3 wins, I am hoping to impart some wisdom in the form of simple tips that will make the group as a whole function better and succeed more often.
This is assuming the available total DPS is significant enough to complete the encounter.
#1 The Cleric Phase is the most important, most time it lost here. That said knock backs are the bane and boon of this phase. If you do not know how to use them right you are doing more harm than good.
ONLY use a knock back on mobs that are either already on a cleric OR those that will be pushed of a ledge. Otherwise you are pushing them out of DPS or more importantly away from a tank that is trying to use an aoe taunt. Lets the tanks get agro then position the mobs to be pushed off a cliff.
#2 This is for GFs, during clerics you should be using AOE taunt to move mobs away from the clerics and if possible to a ledge.
Also keep moving with these mobs you stand still and they will kill you they hit very very hard and will get behind you. Move, guard and use tide of iron often to keep you guard up, otherwise you need to be using enforced threat and Into the fray which you should time to just before each wave of adds appears do not just spam it as it will end up on CD often when you need it.
During heads you NEED to be using Knights Challenge to help those with lower GS survive breath attacks.
