Swashbuckler Companion

Now I'm an old player, but I took a break after module 2 for a long time and only got back. Loving the game so far, its absolutely much better for healers with stronger heals, more dashes than 2 at a time, and much less agro. I used to hate beign a cleric and dying all the time with all the threat I generated and couldnt shake to save my life. Now it sems my survivability is much greater, making the game more fun for me as a Healer Main.

All that aside, I never did any CTA events like there is now. I'm curious, do they occasionally bring back old CTA stuff like this Storm the Keep, or is it always new stuff? Also, the main question, do you get the swashbuckler companion form the skirmish only? Is it a drop or end reward for the run?

The swashbuckler is a possible reward from the chest at the end of the CTA. You can also find them on the AH, they are still BoE.

They also have a Swashbuckler pack on the zen store.. it is a purple version and comes with other goodies.

ok, so its a reward at the end.

Is this the first time its ever been up, or are all the CTAs something that are one and done, never coming back?

They repeat themselves. I don't know the schedule offhand, but I think that this one has been run at least three times, now, if my memory serves.

'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time

Awesome, I can just eventually get all the stuff from them I want. Thanks, I wasnt sure if they were a one and done thing or if they were seasonal events or what.

This is the second time its run. That said, it could be many many months before it makes another return, if ever. There has been no promise that CTAs will rerun, and there are still several skirmishes that have not yet had their own CTA.

So while, I expect we will eventually see all skirmishes turned into regular CTA events. Its not something that happens regularly or often enough to play wait and see. If there are rewards you really want, make the most of them now. It could be a very long time before you get another chance.

CTAs usually return cyclically. Even some "special" events like Respen's Game can return. Events that usually do not return are those somewhat tied to the storyline (i.e. Valindra's Invasion, Siege of Neverwinter).
