Game locks up when moving around a lot

I've noticed that sometimes the game will lock up when I'm moving around a lot. The first time I noticed it was when I was playing in Well of Dragons right after mod5 hit. I was fighting some torturers and drakes and such with my cleric, dodging around and laying down chains all over the place. Suddenly, while backpedaling diagonally, the game stopped accepting any sort of input from me. I couldn't open menus. I couldn't attack. I couldn't do anything at all while my character just kept on walking backwards and to the right, into a corner and through another pack of mobs who eventually killed me. I had to manually end the process and relog.

I also noticed it again when I was leveling my warlock a few days ago. I had found a group to do Cragmire Crypts after finishing the quests in Blackdagger Ruins and we got through the first few packs with no problems. Then I shot my purple laser beam through the mobs we were fighting and into the next group, making things very mad at me. I ran forward so I'd be near the tank at least, but instead of stopping where the tank was fighting, I kept running forward, into a corner. Recognizing the same bug from before, I immediately alt+tabbed and ended the process before dying. I relogged immediately and made it back in to the group. The rest of the dungeon there were no problems at all, until the final battle, when it happened to me again, TWICE. Each time I was quick enough to end the process immediately so I could get back in without being dead and help out with killing the boss, but man it was annoying.

And another thing: We had to do that fight twice because the first time, after we all stood in the big glowing circle to enter the room, I was the only person who got transported into the room. The rest of my party watched in horror from outside a purple barrier as I nobly charged forth and had my insides turned into outsides by undead pirates. So yeah, that one was actually kind of funny, but still, seems like a bug.

First off you will want to check if this only happens while you're playing Neverwinter, because I've heard the very same story from people playing other PC games. Sometimes it's because of something (program, malware, virus) running in the background, sometimes its a keyboard/mouse problem.

Yes, only happens with Neverwinter, not that I play very many other games and Neverwinter is the only MMO. I also doubt it's an issue with a program in the background either since I tend to keep my computer very clean and even end as many processes I can manually before playing the game to try to make things smoother on my crappy old computer.
