Did the 11/25 System Maintenance Positively Impact the Lag Issues

Just curious if those that were having lag/rubber banding issues are seeing any improvement after this morning's maintenance.

Thanks!

If you mean the regular rubberbanding then yes, it's gone somewhat. Draconic HE's unique lag-motive is still there though and I suspect it won't be fixed shortly.

it will be gone today, maybe tomorrow however it will be REALLY bad next wednesday as they did maint today, meaning we have to most likely wait until dec 4th for another server restart etc (and hopefully new patches for bugs, not another empty one - I would love to see 1 bug per patch but i guess the existing ones are to complicated?)

I am having significant rubber-banding in Well of Dragons since maintenance. Never had any before. I have not been anywhere else for any significant period of time so I can't see if it's localized, but for the brief time I visit Protector's Enclave, the crazy texture washing I got persisted longer than it does when I return from Icewind Dale. That's another first.

Really disappointing feedback. I wasn't overly hopeful that the Heroics would improve lag-wise, but I was hoping that I could scale the stairs in PE without having to restart each flight 3-4 times - sigh.

Heh at least you can play. Not for the first time since Mod 5 launched I get kicked from the game when I toon hop and then cannot log in again coz I get the message: Connection to the login server timed out. Please try again later... Goes on for like 30 mins at a time.

Some schools are out this week in the US as well as people off work. Could be a lot more players on right now, which can contribute to lag.

Disappointing is an understatement. You can't go ANYWHERE in the game, without the slingshot effect. *rolls eyes*

It's quite terrible for me. And I think this is an understatement.

Ping times are basically fine, but I get no data across.

Rubberbanding like crazy...and not the little small thin bands.
    The big thick industrial rubberbands.

With all respect, are people performing the lag and rubberbanding sticky tests to rule out other possible issues, rather than blaming a single issue for their problem whether it is actually causing their problem or not?

Simply because there is a known hypothesis for some of the issues occurring does not mean it is THE reason your issue is occurring. Latency can have many factors.

With all respect, I'd say that when an issue occurs immediately after something was released for people who haven't had any such issues before, their end is just fine.

    I'm one of those people.

I can't say it was all coherent before, but this is downright terrible, as opposed to how it was before Mod 5 was released.

All areas pre Mod 5 work fine for me, except for the lag I was used to, which I know is caused by my internet connection, to which you can now add the odd reloading which occurs completely randomly from my point of view - I honestly can't tell if there's any trigger to it. But the WoD area becomes impossible to play after a few hits on a dragon.

Now, if you're trying to say that our internet has something against this specific area, I honestly hope you have another thing coming.

Lag seems to have gone from bad to insane. Had netgraph going during the dragons today, and watched the received number hit 5000000 (5 million) when i was not even close to the dragons (the time graph looked the a solid block of green). It was as if the whole zone was lagging whenever a dragon went down.

I'm not having lag issues, but I have noticed that land features are taking much longer to load when first zoning into another zone.
