I think a lot of people asked themselves if the Lathander's bonus set was working on a Soulforged ?
So, I ask the question one more time : does it work ?
If someone has already tested it, please write it here !

I'd love to hear some clarification on it. I have all of the pieces for the set, but at first glance it doesn't seem all that great. Stick a couple of Ancient Priest's Ring of Burning Light and/or Ring of Shielding on an augment, add a cave bear companion and some radiant or brutal enchantments, and soon enough you've got gobs of hit points. My HR has > 33k HP this way (and with some other goodies), and while she wears soulforged, it's awfully rare that it ever kicks in. Her power is only 7k, but with crazy-high defense she's nigh impossible to one-shot (and then there's the crazy-high regen). If the Lathander set includes a soulforge kick-in, though, I can see some benefit under very special circumstances (hint: Tiamat). With the Eye of Lathander being so rare, I wonder if there might be better courses of action for most players, for example:

    - Lathander belt (or WIS belt; they're nearly identical)
    - "Of the shore" neck and ring set
    - Burning Light/shielding rings on an augment
    - T2 "... of guts" on an augment
    - Sigil of the Devoted
    - Waters of el'Azhad
    - Heart of the Red Dragon
    - Various radiant, brutal, draconic, and/or azure enchantments in defense slots
    - Helmite Paladin and Cave Bear active companions, an appropriate summoned augment, and two other companions chosen as needed to fill stat gaps.
    - Some level of bonding runestones in all three slots on the augment
    - Whatever T2 armor suits you (I wear 2 Grand Warden and 2 Fabled Iliyanbruen at the moment)

Do all that and you've made one tanky toon, regardless of class, so I have to wonder about the utility of the Lathander set for anything outside something like Tiamat or Valindra.

Lightning struck yesterday and I got the Tiamat's token from the lockbox, but so far I think the above artifacts are better 99.99999% of the time. The Tiamat's token adds extra HP and AoE resist at the cost of some power and defense (though it of course includes that nuke effect!) but for normal dailies and HE's I don't think it's at all necessary. I'm experimenting with it in place of the Sigil of the Devoted, but I think the Sigil is better outside of really extraordinary circumstances (point being, all of the above are still WAY easier to obtain than an Eye of Lathander!)

Sure I agree with you : you can build a tanky character without this.
But the point is that I try to optimize mine.
I run a CW. He has 33k HP, 5000 Power and 2000 Def (and 1100 tena, this is why a so low power).
He's not so squishy so but I wanted to give him more chances to resist in a fight (and to come back in it if needed).
So I want to use artifact gear and new rings with 2 slots. And with the new incoming Drow set, the Lathander's set seemed to suit perfectly.
I thought to use the Eye of Lathander, Vanguard bannier and Offensive Seal for a high HP build.
In fact, I have a lot of other choices but I just wanted to know if this worked because if you play without DC, the heal of the set can save the party.
Moreover, it doesn't bother me to search the Eye !
