I have a class balance question

My question is addressed to the community of players and developers.

If you play with a PVE striker:

CW are top on multitarget damage (and on single target)
SW (and since MOD5 should be TR too) are top on single target damage
CW are top on CC

What is the role of HR in PVE? Why should I invite a HR in my game if they are not the best at nothing?

PD: the same question for GWF's

I believe it depends on the player, not the class. I have seen a GWF tank and never drop or move when on a boss. And as a HR myself, I have out dps's SW and TR 95% of the time and a few CW.
It's your character and how you play him :)

    about gwf be defender (tank)

Defenders take a lot of damage, mark targets and protect the rest of the party. If enemies they target tries to attack another member of the party the defender will attack to stun, damage or taunt enemies to protect the their companions

sentinel can mark, but is just "tough"; other trees, dont.

if you give a look in this : If enemies they target tries to attack another member of the party the defender will attack to stun, damage or taunt enemies to protect the their companions.... you can conclude this: cw have the defender position too. (can not take 10 attacks, but prevent 100 even in melee position)

i can not say nothing about hrs.

Oh how right you are and i feel like Pierot, one of my eye is happy another cries.

Beautiful game, sad or non existent class balance at all.

My main is a GF, was useless (sorry good Ad slave lol) for over a year, now only good, if i had a fortune on artifact belts and stuff, which i don't have, so my low HP let's me feel squishy.

Then i made a TR, back then, was HAMSTER in PVE, so i deleted him and made a GWF, who is nice, but only that.

Made a DC, which was terrible, now good.

Made a CW, is fantastic, but with her lower GS compared to other classes (not my fault, she has got the same rank 7 enchants, just CW gets a lower GS by default) i would have to spend a non existent fortune on her to raise her GS.

Last i made a HR for PVE/PVP, which is hardly invited to PVE and is super squishy, only option is the Combat tree, which i don't like, sadly trapper and Archer are mediocre at best. In PVP we know, who was and is even more the king, yes the way to OP TR...

So yes out of 5 toons many were or are terrible for the entire game play, sure if they were only made for PVP or PVE it would be better, but i like to play both.

    O.K.
If you are looking for pure POWER, then you want to forget all about the whole "Balance" thing. You want a party with either 4 CW's and a DC (for Heals) or 5 CW's.
The Dev. Team just seems to LIKE CW's.
Now, there are a couple of exceptions:
Some Classes change at the highest LvLs to become remarkably powerful, especially in the hands of skilled Players. A truly POWERFUL GF or HR is a terrible thing to behold, although they are rare and usually belong to established Guilds and Parties. If you have dedicated Players willing to go the extra mile to actually create one of these Monsters, then that is the way you want to go. If not, just go with CW's.

Sorry if my earlier post seemed troll-y. It was actually meant in earnest.

I had been playing a certain playstyle (attack from afar, run like hell) for a long while. When I realized I was having trouble with certain encounters, I checked the forums for new builds, and switched to one that was 'closer to the action' while not being totally melee. My damage was increased by a large factor, and I can now walk through certain MOBs that I had to tiptoe around before.

So when I asked if your playstyle was the issue, it was a serious consideration. Not an attack/jab/troll.
