What happened to Guard, Dodge, Shift Response accuracy?

I'm back from a long break from this game (Quit when Tenacity was announced) and Ive noticed the twitch skill abilities like Guard and Dodge seem to be fairly inaccurate compared to the last time I played. Guard never quite worked right to begin with but now it seems worse when I read a post stating they were improving it's response.

I'm speaking in terms of PvP of course, that's all I liked to do in this game. I assume it's some type of client/server change, maybe someone knows more about what they might have changed?

Playing as GF:
I'm used to using guard as an anti CC defense. I hate this stamina lean on guard like a nub HAMSTER. So I still use it often in this way. Say I run at a CW for instance, I see his hand drop for entangle and I guard. This no longer works. The animation of guard is set and I'm guarding on my side, but their CC goes through. This didn't happen before.

Playing Vs GF:
Guard meter doesn't show, I'm sure everyone knows this but it really kills the tactic of timing your CC's against one. The Stamina change alone took away a lot of skill with guard, it turned from a tactful strike to break guard into a "whos got more guard meter" mini game.

Playing as TR or CW:
Using dodge as both classes come across about the same as when I left.

Playing Vs TR or CW:
This is where the problem starts, I often time my CC or abilities for the second a TR or CW ends their dodge, as there is a moment when they cannot dodge again. Now when I do so they are still immune for maybe .5 to 1 second after the dodge ends. Its as if the dodge "buff" continues after the animation.

Playing as HR:
The Shift animation is clunky at best. Ontop of this I've noticed countless times I will shift immune the damage portion or an ability and not the CC or vise verse. It promotes a shift spam just to make sure you get it and that's just lame. I've had limited success shifting here and there on an attack or defense but the ability just doesn't come off as reliable.

Playing Vs HR:
Most I've seen shift spam, or hardly use it at all. Probably because of the above.

My netgraph bounces between 60-100 ping all day. I know its not ping. But I also know ping isn't the only problem when computers are communicating. Just curious if any long term players have noticed these differences and wanted to post feedback in case a dev cares.

    They dumbed down the block mechanic, so that not so skilled players can also enjoy playing as a gf. I dislike it alot, too and voiced my opinion against it often times when it wasn't even live, yet. But one voice against a mass of people who like dumbed down stuff, is quite meaningless.

    And yes, it doesn't always block and the response time is far worse than before the rework.

    It's good to have confirmation of Guard response being worse.

    Sadly it wouldn't be the first time a Dev said something and the opposite occurred.

    GF was one of my top picks last round but I'm not sure how I feel about them this time.
