Having analyzed all possible options of leveling the Jewelcrafting profession, I would like to ask if it's correct that the 16lv task of creating the Knight's Belt doesn't require Residuum? Right now it allows just to transform the previous lvl belt to a new one and gain XP without additional resource. It seems unfair when comparing it with the rest 2 options: both the necklace and the ring require 1 more Residuum for their 17lvl tasks to transform the Wizard's items into the Knight's ones:
Just want to be sure that this won't change before starting crafting lots of belts

Also, there's a similar task at level 9 (for 'Warrior's Belt') that also does not require residuum.
However, please note that all "Warrior's", "Knight's", and "Defender's" crafting products are 'crafting dead ends': they cannot be used as a consumable for another crafting task.
Lovely word!
Who is it unfair towards? Who is at a disadvantage?
Or are you speaking on behalf of all the belts out there that cannot speak for themselves?
Of course I am speaking on behalf of the belts.
Thank you for your invaluable input, btw
i'd go check if it does or not but its down atm - and if it doesn't require it who cares?
Poster is right: the only reason to craft the low level jewelry for most people will be to speed up leveling to 20, compared to just running Gathering tasks. For that purpose, you want to only craft jewelry that can be used to craft the next level of items, as that is the most efficient method.
So the no-residuum tasks are useless for leveling, and it makes sense that they are cheaper to craft.
