Anything counts? (like, killing fire elementals in the pve area during the pvp time)
If only it was that easy......
The only NPC's that count toward the total are encountered during the actual GG PvP. This includes the golems at points 2 and 4 if your enemy hangs onto the point long enough... Too many times i have seen a team ahead by over 1,000 points and they still cap the point before the golems can spawn. What would the harm be in allowing the other team to hang onto the point and farm the golems for NPC kills if your team is ahead by 1,000? The giant counts as an NPC, but i'm unsure as to how many NPC's he counts as (I would hope more than one). TR shadow clone counts as one NPC. Warlock Soulpuppet counts as an NPC. You do not need the kill shot on these to get credit, but they do need to die.
Going to ask this too. What's the secret for triples. I only got left the tasks for triples in dom/GG and the NPCs in GG and sadly so far NPC are moving faster than triples. I expect it will be easier once MOD5 is released but I still wish I could complete it before that. Thanks for your info about SW's soulpuppet and TR's shadow, I really never noticed they count as NPC!

Captain Jack's the more qualified person to advise here but I thought I share a lil since I cleared the DOM pvp campaign. Here are some stuff that worked for me to clinch those triples:
I find it easier to get doubles/triples when I solo-queue. Pugs are probably easier to gun down than premades.
Be mindful of where the enemies are and how much HP they've left. You've to land the finishing blow to clock the kill.
Save your powerful skill(s) for the kill and not unleash them right away when you encounter enemies. For me, I use Punishing Light as a finisher, it works for me.
Be prepared to get scolded by your teammates in DOM pvp. I get all sorts of verbal absue while I chase kills as these people assume that the ONLY job for a DC is to heal, debuff/buff, drop the Astral Shield/Hallowed Ground and then try to stay alive as long as possible while holding a node.
Go for the tougher enemies (e.g. GF) first and bring down their HP (but don't kill them). Once done, go hunt down the squishy ones and if you managed to clock the kills, come back and down the GF. This works better for me than if I were to do it in reverse. The GF is too tanky and even if I'm able to kill him, the time interval will be too long for me to clock a double/triple.
That's all I've for now, hope this helps.
Disclaimer: These ain't the best tips or strategies around but it works for me and my playstyle, gear composition and power/feat configuration. Am DO btw.
If finishing 30 objectives would give me something more useful than an ugly pirate fashion set then I'd have the motivation to do them.
That's the issue for me as well.
I have 0 motivation to go above 18/30 or w/e it is. I do have 26/30 on my HR, but only because I did IWD for a banner to use so I can refine my waters faster, and rest just came by casually playing GG. On my CW I don't even have 25/30 yet, because a title means nothing for me, and a pirate outfit even less.
I must admit I am happy the things are this way, as I cannot see myself grinding 1000 NPCs.
Thank you all... I have posted a guide to doubles and triples on a separate thread. It took roughly 200-250 trips into GG (unsure because of the stat reset) in order to complete the NPC's. Near even matched GG rounds are the best for NPC kills. You have to keep your eye on the #2 and #4 capture points and start heading there after they have been fully captured for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. It's best to hit them with a couple AOE spells and lure them back to your base if possible.
Couple of months ago I talked to Captain Jack and he gave me some advice... and now, tada! I got 30/30 on pvp campaign as a DC.
Of course the doubles and triples were very hard, but with good gear, the damage build and some luck, we can make it. And here is the pirate gear my cleric (Virtana) wears:

What is your secret on double and triple kills?
Congrats Captain Jack!
I've only finished the PVP Domination campaign. Going to finish the IWD PVP one in a couple days.
But the main problem is the GG PVP campaign, given the long wait for an occasional GG PVP.
Any tips on how we can kill that 1,000 NPC in GG PVP?
Much appreciated, and once again, congrats on doing the DC community proud!

I'm at 21/30 but the last 7 proves to be a challenge (mainly GG ones).
