Pvp is one of the most fun aspects of the game. Arena Pvp is fun but has only had 2 maps for years now.


Foundry PVP
Why not allow player created pvp maps?

*Player Pvp Created Mods using foundry. (I was running this through friends and they told me that it's already been suggested in the past.)

*PVP map contests. The best ones get into rotation. Up to 5 maps in total. Anything more than that would be a little too much.

*In Foundry pvp, do not allow players to move up the domination campaign ladder. Reserve that for just the maps that made it to the final pick. Will solve potential botting.

*Time Limits for pvp matches. 20 minutes.

Foundry PVP Potential: What could come of it.


1. Creative types can flourish.
2. More maps, more entertainment.
3. Maybe some people will co-author together to make some really interesting designs. (teamwork)


Leader Boards:

There is a big PVE community but there is also a big PVP community. The leader board can use a redesign. It's not a bad idea but people are abusing it by climbing up the pvp board through a loophole. I will not say what that is in this thread.

So can either scrap the leader board or redesign.

Redesign-


*New lvl 60 Leader board with gear score in mind. One for those that are 18k plus and another for those that are under 18k.

*While lvl 60, do not allow changing out gear when in the pvp match. This will curb any possibility of people taking off gear to get into matches that are beneath their gear score just so they can put back on their 18k+ gear to stomp fresh lvl 60s.

*18k + Gearscore has the potential to earn something worthwhile if you get to page one on the leader board. Maybe a new title, new fashion, refinement drops but have it happen only once per toon that makes it to page 1 to keep things competitive.

*Under 18k gear score pvp drops a new title for getting to page 1. Nothing else.


Lowbie pvp balancing:

There are a lot of people that re-roll their toons just so they can avoid lvl 60 pvp. From a business standpoint and community standpoint, not idea since the re-rollers have rank 7-10 enchantments with weapon enchants. The newcomers have no way of having a decent match. That is potential customers and new friends for guilds being shooed away instantly.

Adjustments:

*Lower gear with enchantment slots cannot hold anything above rank 5 as a first option. You can either fix that from the enchantments themselves giving level requirements or the more tedious method of going through all the gear and making it so that they cannot hold anything greater than rank 5 enchantments.

OR:

If you want to get a little more systematic, lvl 10-19 can only wear rank 1-2. Level 20-30 can wear rank 2-3. Level 30-40 can wear rank 5. Level 40-59 can wear rank 6. Level 60 can wear anything.

*Weapon enchants. This can make the player way overpowered for their level. Either get rid of the weapon enchantment slot for low level weapons or only allow lesser weapon enchants.



I'd like to see more players that are stuck in the re-rolling loop start to explore the level 60 world.

    Pvp is one of the most fun aspects of the game. May also be one of the most neglected.


    *cough* Foundry,

    PVP game balancing is probably the biggest change driver in this game.
