Skeleton Steed Opinion - pics

I wanted a new mount and I only knew how the Skeleton steed looked from one picture I found online, not in-game picture I might add. Not seen anyone use it and it is not in display in PE either, at least not for me?

It is amazing, it really is. Except.... From the back. It's like the devs ran out of time when they got to working on the back and just hit "submit". Also, my legs sink into the body, maybe only a halfling issue, but for me it's a full issue (huhu)

I really hope it gets that green hanging cloth fabric on the back of the mount as well, currently it looks horrible.

Opinions?

P.S. I have more pictures in case anyone actually finds this thread of any interest. ^^

100% agreed. From behind? Totally awful. Legs inside of mount? No comment x)

    And one more thing...
The tail looks completely like from different mount. In my opinion it looks like someone just randomly stick pony tail to this mount.
Btw, it is the same tail as the warhorse mount has?

This skeleton steed should breath fire like the inferno or the mystic horses, there's nothing special when you hit the spacebar, just a normal neigh of a living horse, this one came from the nine hells, should be special!. When I press the bar with my imperial drake it's unique, I can feel the fury of this giant beast that I'm riding but the skeleton is so... simple. :(

Huh... The promo pictures make that thing look pretty good. Enough that I was thinking I wanted one. Though with your pictures it looks too much like my Black Ice Warhorse (which I think looks better tbh) - and the skeletal bits... it kind of looks like the Reanimated Destrier (or whatever it's actually called: the Undead horse) - which I also like better.

The tail end of that thing looks identical to the BI Warhorse. Yes. Really.

If it was not for the rear of the horse, which was my entire reason to even make this thread, it would look better than the Warhorse. (IMO Ofc)

When I press space it does the usual stand on two legs, but the sound is a bit metallic, def new. Also the animation to go in and out of mount state is a black cloud. It also leaves small black cloudy footprints when it runs.

But I am disappointed that no one beside plushcloud has actually replied to the ACTUAL OP regarding legs inside mount and horrible rear end.

I know they patched legs inside mount- issues before. So I hope they do it again.

CRYPTIC, WHEN YOU DO, PLEASE ADD SOME CLOTH FABRIC TO COVER THE REAR TOO! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! :<

This is the new legendary mount from the brand new lockbox, so it would be weird if they did not fix these two issues you are describing. Anything but a quick fix would be disrespectful to their customers and show that they don't really care about quality that much.

It looks just as I imagined it did. But, what else would you expect? It's a dead horse made out of bones. Lame and boring, nothing beats the Heavy Twilight Nightmare.

I don't understand the issue with his back legs. They are in the right place. Its his armor that sticks out really far.

Quite literally recycled, cause he's dead! hueueue.

That's just a simple reskin of regular horse you can buy for gold. Even BI horse looks better than this one imo. And probably that's the reason why we can't still see it in PE's Shaundakul stables. And that is also the reason I just dumped 5m ad to buy some AD for upcoming purple quality shadow wolf.

Fully agreed. Happy to see at least 1 person who doesn't just troll this thread with nonsense.

Reskin of 5 gold mount? Troll harder please. Everything is skins of other stuff in NW.

But as has been said, it's legendary mount. At least make it complete and without bugs. Too much to ask?

I think the rear end looks like I would expect a "skeleton" horse to look.

    Looks fine to me - bones-a-plenty! :)

No it looks good this way.

You people complain too much, the devs work hard to give you awesome cool looking new mounts and you spit on the soup !!!!!!!!

Really? Me paying 7m AD for it without even seeing it first is spitting in their soup? ...

Even if someone can actually find the rear end to look good, it just doesn't go with the rest of the mount.

As I said, it's like they ran out of time leaving the rear untouched.

No clue in hell how anyone could not think that the cloth fabric needs to be back there as well.

EITHER WAY, my legs go through it. Is it really too much to ask for that my character doesn't fuse together with the mount?!?

Top prize in their new lockbox.. Mhm.

Also. Work hard? Not bashing the devs here, but it is lacking in the rear department and my legs go through it. To boot it has the same tail as the Warhorse mount. For being the new legendary prize one should be able to expect quality.

Pretty sure you wouldn't do better than them dude, it's their job, they are amazing at it.

Nobody forced you to buy it, you saw what it looked like before buying it, and still decided to buy it.

What's the problem here? Plus your 7M is probably... Yeah let's not go there :D

No one "ran out of time" with the rear end of the skeleton horse mount. I think it looks like it should - it is a skeleton for goodness sake!

I think that cloth over the rear/tail would make it not look as realistic. I think they did a good job with the graphics.

The issue with your legs going into the mount a little is not new. There are some minor glitches with quite a few of the mounts where body parts don't align properly. To me, these are such very minor issues . . .

They seem to be having trouble adjusting the riders position on the mounts for each race. Not just with the skeletal steed. They raised characters on the owlbear mount. Presumably because they were sinking in. Since then my Dragonborn now floats over his.

That said, I think the skeletal steed looks amazing. If I had 7mil to throw away right now, I'd grab one.

Pro-tip: Whenever you spend a LOT of AD on something that becomes bound the moment you equip it - copy your character over to Preview then equip it there so you can inspect it properly in full before committing yourself. This way, if you decide you don't like it you can resell it, you might lose a little bit of AD, but that's the cost of investing into something sight-unseen, at least you won't be out of all that AD and be stuck with something you may never use.

As for the this Steed: I think it looks fine as-is for the most part, and it *is* very good looking. Personally I like other horse mounts better, but that's just my own taste. I feel anything on the AH costing more than 5-million AD is just way overpriced. But, again, just my own perspective.

Anyway: I copy anything costing 1-million AD or more to preview so I can inspect it BEFORE I equip it and become stuck with it. Hell, I even do this for Epic Gear I buy for a character, and Fashion outfits.

Just a suggestion for future reference. :)
