Confused about Zen promotion

So I thought all you had to do was get at least 500, 1000, 3000, etc of zen into your account. I bought zen with astral diamonds, but didn't get anything. Do you actually have to buy the zen then with rl money to get it?

    Yea... you have to buy zen and TRANSFER to Neverwinter.
    ZAX is merely exchanging AD to zen and vice versa...

    Yes, you have to transfer purchased ZEN into Neverwinter to get the rewards. ZEN exchange uses ZEN that is already transferred into NW by other players, so it doesn't count.
