Perfect World
announced today that NW(pc version) will enter closed beta in China on 10/16. There will be 7 races and 5 classes in this test phase.
As we all know f2p-mmo is more popular in China, so I'm really curious about how NW will perform there?

My ex-wife, when she was in high school, played one really seriously then sold her account for 3000 RMB XD
In china you can buy gaming cards at convenience stores and enter the codes into the website. You recharge your phones the same way, as they don't have as robust of a legal system or online credit card system, which is why you pay your money to a trusted 3rd party provider instead of into the website. If the prices for stuff are a bit lower, i suspect it will perform quite well. (40$ for a mount, that's easily a week of food for most people).

This is awesome, now they can join us in BETA too.
Funny, considering that this version has been out of beta since sometime last year.

Why would they? The way the game is structured there's is no variety whatsoever. You either do a) and compete or do b) and lose.
There is no doubt in my mind that there are viable builds that you haven't come across. Evidenced by FOTM builds that show up without any significant game changes (i admit most appear after a significant patch, but there are certainly quite a few that have developed through theory crafting and experimentation).
They really only need to get people try the game, therefore the most aesthetically pleasing images would be the best choice.
But on the other hand I do hope WotC maintains a tight leash on it while they expand it. Besides the combat system, the thing I like most about it is the Forgotten Realms lore. And every time they expand like this into a regional version I'll worry if they'll lose a little of that. Such as concessions for other cultures and such. And if changes will eventually make their way back this way. Probably won't ever happen. But, whatever.
I disagree. The game could have been much better and so I feel like they've let the players down.
