So lately, in some of the Tyranical threat posts, and or i think a "Are Sw OP" post in general game play I noticed a trend that I am curious about. Mostly because it seems to push an idea that appears to clash with my game play experieneced with my SW.
However, Before i get to that I should explain my game-play experience. My SW Luusi is currently level 60 with about 11k Gs, Ive been working my way through Gauntgrym pve/pvp/Fardelver Crypt. Ive run some dragon stuff and outside of Fardelver Crypt have run a few other dungeons.
When the characte was first 60 I ran her as temptation, and most of the non FC dungeons were run under this model, followed later by switching to Damnation and finally the other night fury.
anyhow, all that said the Idea ive seen expoused was that SW powers, do poor damage and are lackluster. The problem is this.. seems to contradict my own gameplay experience with the character. the class seems to have alot of fast cycling powrs that do good damage and depending on which tree you are you can add alot of static damage buffs.
I found once i switched to Fury the other night running skirmishes etc, my damage seems solidly in the top end of the spectrum, howver even as damnation i was running around with a 27% to 47% damage buff depending on situations.
anyhow, my experience seems to contradict the idea that our encounter powers are somehow lackluster or poor what am i missing?
On a side note not really connected to the above my personal goal is to successfully disintigrate one of every boss in the game with gates of hell.. though its hard to get the timing right i'm making progress.. Its not really connected to my initial question but i thought it might convey what i enjoy about the class in a way.
