On my end - across all browsers - I still get Zero size objects.
* Is only happening to me?
* This bug has not been squashed for 6 months, how should it happen in the next months?
* any change we get a more reliable forum software? I wrote a post today, only to sacrifice it again to the the Zero Size Object
* I can not see any movement in this issue, but it would be nice to know if a forum software change is intended or expected if this zero size issue persists. Or are we stuck with regular offerings to the Zero size Object?
* as a forum contributor, what is your stance on this issue?

It's not just you, i've reported this also, others have too. It's happening because the servers and/or DDoS protection layer can't cope with the traffic. It's not caused by the forum software, vBulletin is the best and most stable BB software available on the market atm, almost every big forum you visit runs on it, and they're all working w/o an issue.

So far I only and ever and on a regular basis saw this zero size objects on this website. And I do surf a lot. Very. Much. Also lots of forums. So I guess it has a relation with this implementation of the forum and the ties to the game, servers and whatever you can think of. But in the end, this forum is an interface to the game, and it ain't working properly.
But I never ever had Zero Size Objects on the old forum, but lots of them on the (back then) new implementation (the interface binding to ARC). Makes me think that even if the forum is not the sole perpetrator of these Objects, it has its dealing in creating them. 'cause no Zero Size Objects before this new forum. I do not expect the users to have increased over night by the millions when ARC/new forum landed, together with millions of Zero Size Objects.
They don't care. I entered three easily fixed forum bugs on the PWE site which maintains the forums (not Cryptic) and after two years, ZERO of them have been fixed.

PWE and Cryptic are the same company. I don't really understand why after nearly three years since the Cryptic merger people still insist or act as though they are separate companies. Forum issues are also not the province of the game developer teams...these are handled through a separate team within PWE/Cryptic altogether.
Nevertheless, to answer the subject of the thread...I've noticed a drop in ZSO myself (it used to happen about once a day for me), however, it still happens and the team is still working on this. Due to the random nature of their occurrence it's difficult to pin down the source--or the fact of being able to do so without breaking something else.

By "not Cryptic" that's what I meant -- not the development entity.

...and who might that be? PWE used to have a support forum (not support tickets) - it appears to be no longer.
Entering a Customer Support ticket to PWE they tell you to enter a post in the Neverwinter forums -- which is CLEARLY incorrect.
There is also no "webmaster" contact us entry.
So.... the question remains -- WHERE does one post forum bugs?
It isn't limited to these forums as others have been affected by this for some time. From what I understand (not having pursued it to any great depths or anything) is that it isn't server software or anything like that but something else added or utilized and I have seen some suggestions that it has to do with images but I never fully investigated as I was not that curious.

Unfortunately, the team responsible for the web page isn't directly reachable by the usual means. This would be the most logical course of action, but again, posting anything in the bug reporting section does not necessarily guarantee an immediate fix.

I was not asking for an immediate fix 6 months ago (well, yes I actually wanted if fixed fast) but a few seasons have passed since the invasion of Zero Size Objects. I would not any longer use the word "immediate" in regards to the ZSOs.
The only exception I can think of would be "we found the issues reason and it will be immediately fixed". But I wonder if we will read this in 2014.

Maybe someone from management should try hiring a Necromancer. Oh, that's a bad word. It's now post mortem communicator, right? (I am referring to the word necromancer, not to the management!)
