Are the cloaks from ToD only for appeareance change?

I suppose they are only for that purpose so why the stats ? I mean do they add them (Zentharim = 100 reg, 250 Life steal) to you when you change the appearence of another better cloak?

    I'll discard them then because they are filling unnecessary my inventory :)

    The later ones have decent stats and can make for useful companion gear, but in general, it's the free appearance change that's the bigger factor in the lower tier ones...

    Appearance change mostly.
    Keep in mind though, that some of the folks playing through this Campaign the first time around with their first Character, doing the Missions as they come up, may get those Cloaks before they reach the point where a Cloak with those Stats is good for nothing but Refining. I run into fresh 60's in my PvP Pugs all the time who are actually in that Neck Piece that they got from the Lord Protector for hitting 60.

    Refining? like what? what can you refine with a cloak?

    Can't you put gear into artifact belts to refine them?
