Griefing Issue: Votekick blocks your screen...

I was running a pug through epic Karrundax when an ally needed on a Pyrotechnic Band that dropped from the first boss. Almost immediately afterwards, a votekick was initiated against the player. Unfortunately, I was busy clearing out the remaining mobs in the boss chamber when the votekick pop-up blocked my screen and caused me to die to a dozen red circles on the ground.
I was very pissed off at the player who initiated it because he pretty much torpedoed our chances of success over what was most likely a misclick on an item that's dirt cheap on the auction house. Whether or not the Votekick was justified is a lesser issue than the griefing potential of initiating a votekick in the middle of a hard boss fight. The pop up should not take focus away from the game world, and should not block the screen when you are in combat.
