So a standard SP run. I join a PUG group that's looking to fill one last spot. Fairly quiet as groups go, but I never have VC turned on unless asked to. 1st boss no big deal. Very standard.
2nd boss though... We enter the room and wait for everyone to step in. Once inside, I do what I normally do because tactics aren't discussed at all in the group. I pull the boss and proceed to fight. The group I noticed from the corner of my eye decides to all cut left, but by this time.. It's too late for me to abort my pull. I keep plugging away and pretty much solo the boss... No, check that, not pretty much.. I AM soloing the boss. Adds, other maws, and all. All the way down to 1/3rd of his life, then I get the boot from the group via VoteKick. After I get over my surprise, I send a /tell to the group leader and then he replies that it was because I wasn't listening to instructions and good for me.
The only thing I can say about this is... In the future, please don't assume everyone in the group is on VC. A lot of people actually aren't. Also, if someone is soloing a boss for you, you might want to check your ire and just let it go. Obviously, they're much more experienced than you are and probably have quite a bit more skill.

Sounds like fail all around.. none of you knew how (or if) the other was communicating. When I 'say' something to someone and they don't say 'OK' or 'Go to ****' I assume they did not 'hear' me. When I reach the second boss of a dungeon and no one is 'talking?' We already lost. When I see someone 'solo' a boss.. gimme a break. Not that it can't be done, but really.. is this why we came?
I'd have considered kicking you too. But I would have 'talked' to you first. But then, I would have established communication LONG before that point.
As for voicecom.. mine is locked off.. nuked. I don't want to hear anyone else talk any more than I want to hear ME talk.. which is not at all. I haven't uttered a word in .. I have no idea how long. I talk with my fingers.

Yes yes you are uber - however this is a team game not solo in dungeons and if you notice the 4 other ppl doing it the old way (as this is how most groups used to it) simply walk over to them...
I honestly have no sympathy xD
That said I will say this game really does need to let you zone in with smaller partys than 5. And the Queue needs a rework - we have templocks and sent gwfs now that can fill the tank or healer roles. There is really no reason that those two subspecs should be counted as dps because really, they arn't (granted the templock can put out some great damage)
May the RNG Gods smile on you today!

The most ridiculous reason I was kicked for is "overly high dps output that won't let us play the game" (1st place 32m, 2nd - 6m ) . Carried pugs to the end and the boom, got kicked. Joined back on my GF though, those fools were wiping in SP for a whole hour lol
As for VC, I keep it turned off. Too many languages I don't understand, too many drunk people screaming, too much attention I'd need to pay.

Well pugs are pugs. And I mean that in a bad way. Just from experiance, the people are boring. No say or anything. Seems like the ones who are new to the game are usually the most talkative. But anyways if you really want to have a good dungeon experiance... go with guildies, friends. Usually atleast 3 people you know (counting yourself) so you don't get kicked for stupid reasons. If your not in a guild join one. I used to run pug groups alot and it drove me crazy. Nowadays I wont run a pug unless some people I know comes online to come with me lol.

Dreadvault? 'cos that's where you need to move away from the entry point - unless you want to be crushed by the hive mind tentacles.
I've had some fail runs with this particular dungeon.
Anyway.. it's assumed you know what to do. Unless you ask ofc. (type-type-type)
I can't stand it when people use the games voice chat. Feedback, inconsistent volume levels, etc. I don't think I've had the games voice chat on since maybe the second week of open beta and I won't turn it back on. Pugs can type, guilds can use vent/mumble/teamspeak.
Voicechat- I don't care for it and so have disabled it. I have heard dudes abusing their families, dogs, etc... and then I have heard dudes complain about the sounds of this or that power.. I don't need any of that, but thanks!

I don't approve of vote-kicking in this manner.
However...
Did you pay attention to the type of team you were on? If it wasn't a highly-geared team to start with, they probably aren't going to be able to handle the "zerg the boss" strategy for the 2nd boss. You don't need voice chat to realize if your team is a high-geared team or not.

Had a bit of the opposite happen in an epic Lostmouth dungeon. There was a sw, who because he thought he was the uber class, decided to tell the rest what to do. When it came to the twin scorpion fight, a guardian pulled the one away while the rest focussed on the other, the strategy worked well as the team did it first time. The sw wanted to us to keep them together so he could use his purple death ray on both of them, he was lecturing us afterwards that we were wasting his time but I suspect he just wanted to increase his paingiver score even more. After that, somebody called a vote to kick him, I voted no and he was not kicked. I don't vote to kick unless its a long disconnect or somebody is being overly hostile to the rest, but I am not going to lie - I was very tempted to vote yes in this case.

For the record, the SW's strategy was the right one. PVE is too easy now that every dungeon is a DPS race.
Faster clears = more chance to run = more chance to play the stupid RNG game because the devs cannot design a good challenging dungeon so they compensate by gating loot with bad RNG.
But of course, if your group isn't even good enough to survive with the 2 of them clumped together, then there is a difference is gear/skill between players (mostly skill because players in rank 6/7s should easily survive that fight) which could lead to this misunderstanding.

What? Lostmauth is not a DPS race. No team can kill the dragon fast enough to avoid all of the AOE. Same with Garakas in the epic skirmish. He just has too many HP, if a team tries to ignore his AOE and burn him down, the team will wipe from Dancing Flames attacks.
With regards to the Twin Scorpions, I have done it both ways, and the "proper" strategy depends strongly on the team that you have. It is not true that if you can't do both together that you are "unskilled". A team lacking a GF or GWF will probably not want to clump them both together as their combined fireball AOE will probably wipe the team. But yeah, guess we are not all as uber as you. It must be lonely being at the top of the l33tmountain all day.
Good grief yes, the first thing I do with an MMO is disable the public voicechat. You only need to have one ragey tween noisily munching his way though a giant bag of Cheetos while squeaking into the mic to want to commit genocide. I've never been required to re-enable it, either.
In-guild, I will sometimes jump on mumble, to save typing (if a newer player needs some stuff explaining), or sometimes just to chat. However, that's different- those are pre-vetted people that I know, and it's very rarely annoying.
